Regardless of what you think the answer to this question is. There is one undeniable truth. Many media outlets backtracked and tried to build Vick up afterwards as some kind of redemption story. Sandusky will never get that treatment.

Well Vick was sentenced to 2 years, whereas Sandusky was sentenced to 442 years. So Vick had the opportunity to come home and get his life 'back'.

Secondly, Vick harmed dogs, not children. HUGE difference.

This thread is just a passive aggressive way for @Matt to say that he thinks Sandusky and joepa are/were treated worse than Vick.

the shit thats hilarious is white folk aint even mad at Vick for the real crime he went to jail for. They hate him over animals, beast that are pets... Sandusky is hated but Joe Pa got pass after pass while his crusty ass was blatantly lying. Fuck him he gave no fucks about kids getting abused.

You can't really compare the two. The nfl is the most popular league in america, while I didnt even know who the hell Sandusky was till he got accuesed of this. But people that live on Sandusky Ohio are ashamed to have their town named that now.

Sandusky and Paterno no doubt. Say what you want, but very soon after the dust settled Vick was back in the NFL with tons of fans and a new $100 million contract. Paterno, from what I understand, was one of the greatest college coaches ever. Now his statue may be taken down, and his negative legacy far outweighs his positive. Vick's dogfighting is basically a lightly mentioned afterthought.

Vick got it much worse for something that I still think he was just the fall guy for once his trifling ass cousins implicated him. I am sure he knew about it,but it was never proven that he was in charge of the organization or that he personally trained or abused any dogs. Since it was his property -which he did not live on- he was the fall guy and had to cop to a lesser charge of animal cruelty and interstate gambling. Also its not just whites who bashed Vick, I know a few blacks who thought that he should have been banned from the league for that dog shit.

I always believed Vick only financed the shit. Vick was on some no snitching shit and then a few weeks later, all 3 of his co-defendants turned snitch. Mike just had to bite the bullet because of it.

He didn't only finance it. Dude said he was flyin home every weekend, and that he took part in killing some dogs. And smh at "only financed" like that's a minor role. Everyone else involved could be replaced except the dude who put up money. Not sayin Vick should have gotten hit like he did in the media, but also not gonna downplay his role.

Three new victims come forward in case against Jerry Sandusky

By Kristian Dyer

There's more bad news for former Penn State assistant coach and convicted child abuser Jerry Sandusky.

Monday, three men accused Sandusky of abuse dating back to the early 1970s. It is the earliest known reports of Sandusky abuse to date.

Sandusky, convicted last month on 45 charges of sexually abusing young boys, is currently in prison awaiting sentencing. According to reports, the three men came forward to the police and are claiming abuse that would have happened when Sandusky was in his late 20s and early 30s and employed by Penn State.

Decades.

Mods....when are we going to get the polls back? The IC needs them. This thread could have used one, even though we know what Will Munny would have voted.

this is allhiphop.com

i think we all know how that poll would have came out

@bigrizz Paterno might as well had grabbed an ass, cause he helped keep it under wraps for years mane ,Hell he probably was fucking too

I would say paterno and sandusky, but rightfully so. Vick should never have even went to jail for animal cruelty. he was only killing pitbulls, who cares.

yeah, they are seriously talking about death penalty. or something close.

its a difference when tucker carlson says some shit, but he has no say in the matter, he is irrelevant except to people who think he represents white america. the NCAA just might have a say. Many people in the media are talking as if Penn State should have severe penalties that effect thousands of students and athletes who had nothing to do with it.

talk of suspending a player is nowhere near as bad as talk of killing a football program.

i know the crimes are different, fighting dogs is nowhere near as bad as touching kids.

people got blinders on when they say penn st isn't being slammed the way vick was by the media, fans, and the governing body of the sport.

the case maybe had more coverage, it had more discussions, it had more panels on tv...but thats because the dogfighting stuff is an interesting topic and can be talked about in a number of ways. Especially about the culture of the dogfighting and how vick was raised that way.

But don't nobody on tv wanna have a roundtable discussion about how sandusky was raised to rape boys or discuss the culture of pedophilia.

Some of the comments on that article.

You should read the statement on Cesar Milans site about Vick. He agrees with you. Personally, I think the only reason Vick came clean was because he realized it was the only way to have a fighting chance to regain public favor (to be allowed a second chance) and regain his multi million dollar career. I think the laws should be much harsher. But they aren't and as you said, he did his time. But any person capable of such cruelty has no heart to rehabilitate. These people are born bad. Plenty of folks grow up in negative circumstances and don't become a monster like Vick. I hope he suffers for the rest of his life.

I don't believe that he deserves prison. . . not at all. . . If I was the judge. . .I would have 'sentenced' him to. . . have done to him, exactly what he did to the dogs, each and every one of them. . . if he beat, raped, strangled, drowned or electrocuted dogs, then he should have it done to him, exactly what he did to each and every animal. . .if he beat a dog twice, he should be beat twice for that dog, if he electrocuted one, he should be electrocuted for that one, and on and on and on. . . and after all that. . .if he is still alive, he can go free. . .

"That's just so sad to say right now, because I put more time and effort into trying to master that pursuit than my own profession." It's clear that he is extraordinarily self centered and is only concerned with himself. What a repulsive waste of space.

Shit like that makes me ashamed to be half white sometimes. White people are fucking crazy as hell sometimes, and act like they don't have any skeletons in their closet from their history. Talk about Vick like he has no soul or is a monster, they need to look to their ancestors if they want to see who are monsters. Look what they did to the Jews, the Arabs, the Native Americans, black people and Africa. Fuck outta here with this shit treating dogs like they are people.
