Who was treated worse by the media and fans....Joe Paterno/Sandusky or Mike Vick?

Vick, without a doubt. He been paid his debt to Society years ago and folks still hate him. Add in the fact that he got out of prison, and worked his way back into the league and to making millions, that shit burns a lot of people's souls...He's doing his thing the right way now, and people hate that shit.

But all of that hate over some dogs, though. Vick's team didn't even kill actual PEOPLE, just DOGS. Dogs are gonna fight most of the time if they cross paths on their own. White people have wiped out damn near entire races of people, and they have a whole country and all types of shit to celebrate SMH...

Ya'll need to take the chip off your shoulder. White America don't give two shits about what Vick did no more.

Word... that's why he's still listed as the #1 most hated athlete of 2012

*munny inserts half-hearted bullshit rebuttal here*

if im not mistaken, a DA got killed over the penn st scandal

he "disappeared" in 2005. his car was found at a store. his computer was found in a river. he has never been found

Vick fought dogs and did 2 1/2 years and was and still is getting shitted on the media constantly. America looks at him like a bad guy. But Sandusky been touching college boyd in the showers and what not got sentenced 400years but I havent seen anyone from ESPN go off about him. And no one is saying shit about him like they did with Vick.

Vick got it much worse for something that I still think he was just the fall guy for once his trifling ass cousins implicated him. I am sure he knew about it,but it was never proven that he was in charge of the organization or that he personally trained or abused any dogs. Since it was his property -which he did not live on- he was the fall guy and had to cop to a lesser charge of animal cruelty and interstate gambling. Also its not just whites who bashed Vick, I know a few blacks who thought that he should have been banned from the league for that dog shit.

Mods....when are we going to get the polls back? The IC needs them. This thread could have used one, even though we know what Will Munny would have voted.

You have lost your fucking mind. Every single article in the NCAA section is about how big of a monster Sandusky is. They are calling this the worst thing to happen to SPORTS as a whole. Not just NCAA. Sandusky will FOREVER be regarded as a monster. Vick is back in the NFL, just signed a $100 million deal, and has a top 10 selling jersey. If any of these three has bounced back better than ever it's Vick. This isn't close.

1)Sandusky

2) Paterno

to think that the Vick thing popped off because one of his cousins got knocked for weed. The 1st thing these niggas do is mention Vick and the whole thing becomes a shitstorm. Once this happened ESPN went into Mike Vick mode. They had dedicated programming for Vick's case. They launched their own investigation into Vick's dog fighting business, uncovering 'secret' tapes that showed Vick @ fights... those tapes were used by the Feds to get a conviction. ESPN had a 'Town Hall' meeting about Vick and dog-fighting. ESPN hasn't launched any investigation into PSU nor have they shown you angry people foaming at the mouth in outrage.

One is dead and the other going to prison....there is no chance to bounce back. Also, his contract and rejoining the NFL are irrelevant. That has nothing to do with media bringing his past every time they get the chance, especially outside of sports broadcasting. None of us even knew about the first cover up and PSU are still backing Paterno even with all this new information coming out. They were in arms for him day 1. People are still protesting Vick outside the arenas now. People want Vick dead and as you can see by the video were not ashamed of admitting it. What did you expect the media to say about Sandusky?

Damn, this shit is too close to call

Mike Vick was viewed as a killer in the eyes of the mainstream media and they were pushing for the max jail sentence for his crimes.

Paterno's 61 year legacy at Penn State and goodwill he had has literally been flushed down the toilet since he was was the ringleader of the coverup. I've seen news stories debating if his name should be removed from the library, if his statue should be taken down, if Penn State football should get the death penalty, etc.

Man nobody has protested Vick outside of stadiums in years

Dude has a multi million contract plus endorsements....and guess who gave him that? White people

And if those crackers thought for a split second that putting that much money into Vick would cost them money from boycotts and protests then dont think that that wouldn't have offered him those contracts

Plus of course Vick got more negative media coverage....he was a way bigger star. Nobody outside of diehard college football fans knew who Sandusky was

Any kind of news is star driven, especially in this social media age we're living in

U gotta be dumb if u don't think that if saban or Phil Jackson or any other high level, celebrity coach would get caught fucking lil boys nh that it would dwarf Vick's and Sandusky's media coverage COMBINED

I always believed Vick only financed the shit. Vick was on some no snitching shit and then a few weeks later, all 3 of his co-defendants turned snitch. Mike just had to bite the bullet because of it.

Regardless of what you think the answer to this question is. There is one undeniable truth. Many media outlets backtracked and tried to build Vick up afterwards as some kind of redemption story. Sandusky will never get that treatment.
