When I read the o/p, I wasn't thinking of it just in terms of being raped or being falsely accused.

I was looking at the falsely accused part in terms of being wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for rape as well.

It's a well known fact that rapists and child molesters are going to get raped in prison.

Which speaks to the point you made about men being more likely to be raped in prison than anywhere else.

Therefore, @Westie ....in this situation.....the man being falsely accused and the woman being raped are not mutually exclusive because they're both victims of rape.

Basically, I was responding under the assumption that the man being falsely accused of rape was also going to be sent to prison.....where he would be raped.

In which case, it's worse for the falsely accused because at least the female rape victim still has her freedom.

The falsely accused man is locked up in a cage and will probably be preyed upon for the duration of his sentence.

From what I've seen on prison docs on MSNBC and youtube (and Oz...nh), once a man is raped in prison it's not just a one-time thing.

He's gonna get raped repeatedly.

Most female rape victims aren't going to have to go through anything like that unless they're a prostitute or street walker.

As far as losing everything behind a false rape accusation, I know 3 women who unfortunately have been raped, 1 violently, and they all say you lose something in yourself and how you see the world that you will never get back. When it happens to someone close to you it imprints certain things on you more on how you view things so trust and believe I have serious hatred for any woman that launches a false rape accusation. that was my whole thought process in this thread. not agenda's it's just that growing up from boy into man you learn and understand that rape is an irredeemable wrong......it has always topped the list as of bad things you can do to a person....you hear rape you immediately cringe....however as i've gotten older and older i learned as an adult that sometimes false accusations are made.....which at first seemed ridiculous....who would falsely accuse someone of rape?
