You dont know anything outside of planet Earth, so how absurd is it to speak on "cosmic matters"? For all we know, it might be better for the greater cosmic good for this planet to be wiped away Death Star style, but obviously we wouldnt find that to be very "good".

It starts with the children. We need an apocalypse to cleanse the spirit of humanity right now because we're in too deep. No one on this earth wants to make sacrifices for the greater good. Ultimately, I think it's possible for humanity to be free of race, just not when the seed of racism is continuously implanted into the minds of our ever growing children. In other words, as long as the world is and operates the way it currently does, I don't see it possible for racism to just go away.

I've stated a similar line of thinking before. It's not farfetched at all. Natural phenomenon like that weed the strong from the weak all the time. Things like Racism, sexism, and religious intolerance are weaknesses for humanity. If there was in fact such a cataclysm, the human race could never hold on to those things and survive. We'd either have to destroy those barriers and cooperate in order to survive or we'd go extinct.

Not if we get things right. There's a set of basic instructions on how to live as humans. It's simple when starting from scratch. It's extremely difficult right now because of such a wrong path humanity has taken. It's like trying to get to Cali from Arkansas, but because we decided to take the "fun" route instead of taking the rout on the directions, we ended up in east bumfuckville Alabama in the opposite direction. Now, the only way to get back on track is to head back to Arkansas and go the right way. If we stay on the rout this time and don't make any detours for fun, we'll get to Cali just fine.

You obviously don't know how the universe operates if you saying something like that. Why would life on this planet work the way it does if it DEPENDS on the universe to stay alive, rather than a virus that depends on the destruction of life in order to stay alive? All the universe has to do is blow the sun up (which is gona happen anyway) and guess what... the universe will still be here. If it was for a greater cosmic good for us to be destroyed, we would have never been existed in the first place... And For you to say I don't know anything outside of planet earth would be to deny the existence of the sun, moon, stars, solar systems, galaxies.... Is that what you're saying? You don't know if those things exist? I don't know every single thing to know about the universe, but I know how human life on planet earth works. I know how to stay alive, not just as an individual, but as an entire species... and THAT to me is a greater cosmic good.
