Yeah it's ridiculous I couldn't finish the first round. Too many pauses. The rules are too loose IMO. QOTR battles often come off as talking debates that rhyme and not rap battles.

And Extra Large crowds are really messing up battles.

Y'all remember when people could rhyme 5 minutes without pausing to take a sip of water? Do that shit while your opponent is rapping SMH.

I aint buying that..Joe losing his cool saved him from an L..I watched every battle..and I called them all straight up and down..Ars bodied Big T,Trex beat Daylyt,Murda Mook Destroyed Lux,and I had Joe up 2-0 until he got in his feelings...It's pretty much popular opinion..I aint coming out of left field with this lol..

Popular opinion by what standards? Every consensus I've seen on battle rap boards has Hollow winning 2-1. You can't win a battle off one round. Of course the Joe Buddens fans that don't know shit about battle rap support him. He's more popular so he might get more points from the masses, but I don't respect a consensus that doesn't know battle rap.

Twitter,Battle Rappers themselves,polls online on different sites etc...and I myself saw Joe Budden take the 1st 2 rounds of that battle...I'm far from A Joe Budden fan..but Joe sonned him in the 1st round..2nd round he got busy.and the crowd was loving that shit..and you can't say they were biased in favor of Joe..because that same crowd caused Joe to lose focus and put his mic down..So there's that

I agree noisy crowds and entourages/hype men hurt battle rap, dot mob and steams entourage come to mind those dudes are the worst. One of the reasons why I appreciate UFF for what it is cause you can at least hear a entire round without any long pauses unless someone chokes.

I expected Joe Budden to be more intense and aggressive. That's why I gave him a shot. He went the "I'm gonna prove that this shit ain't hard it's just rap" route instead of the "this is a battle I'm gonna try to wreck shop and destroy my opponent" route.

As long as he's been watching battles as a fan he didn't understand the need for more than just rhymes. He didn't understand that your flow and cadence for battles can be completely different than what you tend to use for songs. It seems like all he studied was the need to take a short pause sometimes after a bar to let it sink in or let the reactions settle.

I fine never seeing him battle again.

I never made the argument that the crowd is biased. Of course, while we're on the topic, that doesn't mean the crowd is always right either, particularly that crowd. I thought Lux should've gotten more love. I think he would have in another venue.

As for twitter, what of it? I've seen numerous niggas on twitter, rappers themselves, polls online, and the actual judges from the event that called it Hollow 2-1 or 3-0. More importantly, battle rap communities poll in favor of Hollow, but everyone acknowledges both came weak. If you want to convince me that Joe Budden beat Hollow, you ain't going to make a convincing case by pointing out that there are other people that agree with you. I can do that too.

And nowhere have I seen a consensus that Joe "sonned" anyone, even those that say he edged Hollow. Overall reviews from battle heads is that this battle was terrible.

Joey had bars , his delivery and performance was ass tho. But if you break down the bars, I would understand a nigga sayin Joe got the 1st 2 rounds. But its not only about bars.

I was rewatching the entire event...and i think while people are rightfully so paying attention to the bars most arent looking at the visual aspects of it....and what i mean by that is the big stage played a MAJOR part in how the battles went.

In most battle...rappers are no more the 2 feet apart from each other.....so when a nigga is havin a "talk 2 em" round...he can get up in his face and get personal...think Aye Verb vs Hitman.....so while their in that mode the other rapper really cant go anywhere but just stand there...

But last night if anyone payed attention...every person who had a good to great round...his opponent stood in 1 spot....

Lux 1st round vs Mook...because they used to the battle stage Mook stood right there and Lux was able to get up close and personal.....so when he said a bar directly to him that shyt hit harder because visually it was like he is literally sayin it to him...but if u pay attention to the other 2 rounds...while Lux is rappin Mook way on the other side of the stage..pacing back and forth drinkin water and shyt...it wasnt personal no more it was just bars....and with that crowd they werent gonna get what he was sayin

On the other side in all of Mook rounds....Lux stood in 1 spot like a target.....so Mook was able to get personal...invade that nigga space and his bars hit harder..

Same with Hollow vs Buddens...1st round Buddens just stands there and Hollow was able to make his lines and stage presence hit was harder than in his other 2 rounds...while in Joes rounds...because Hollow is a battle rapper...he stood right there and Joe just stood in 1 spot in front of him and just rapped...so again that shyt seemed personal

Fast forward to the 3rd and Hollow way on the other side of the stage and Buddens starts to get booed.....
