Critics are saying MCHG doesn't hold a candle to Yeezus...wtf were they listening to?

The voice in their heads

"Fuck critics/You can kiss my whole asshole

If you don't like the shit I say you can press fast forward"

If I call correctly Ye hasn't been too kind to the critics himself

After further review i give the album a solid 4/5 or 8.5/10. Good album not great but not bad, Jay still got it to say the least. Almost 20+ years of rapping and 13 solo albums later he still can drop some heat; if anything that gotta be impressive.

J Cole represented Man with “Born Sinner”. KanYe represented The Son with “Yeezus”. Well J Hova represents The God on “Magna Carta Holy Grail

This nigga still going on and on about an album he doesnt even fuck with

Im puttin shyt in perspective. I can simultaneously like an album but still not get caught up in the moment and call it 'one of his bests'.

Its called being objective.

You been in and outta this thread whining about what you dont like about this album. How you heard something on the radio, how you stopped having fun on a nite out to post about how you STILL aint really feelin songs from the album and BUT you keep coming back with bits and pieces of things YOU find positive

its called being indecisive

When was jay not about business and corporate capitalism?

Lol

I swear blood y'all niggas be embellishing these revisionist stories ...

Jus like when some nigga on here tried to tell me that kanye used to be "a humble kind of guy" on his first album but now that guy is dead ... Lmao

Comedy

Yeah..but you could still tell the difference back then.

Riiiiiiiiiihht.

Same nigga that used to religiously shout out armadale vodka and crystal on every album ...

Smh ... Niggas

A hood rich nigga with a corporate/capitalist mindstate vs. a corporate rich nigga with a corporate/capitalist mindstate.

Stop playing.

Smh...Rationalizing ....

Bein a millionaire ain't no fuckin "hood rich" how many millionaires in Marcy projects nigga ...FOH

I see you're still playing trolling and nice trying at a rebuttal but no cigar. Just go ahead and take your L.

From Reasonable Doubt to The Black Album his whole steez he was kicking was being a rich nigga from Marcy projects aka the hood thus being a "rich hood nigga" aka "hood rich mentality" while trying to break intp that corporate phase...that is not rationalizing that is fact.

Then comes outta "retirement" with Kingdom Come to the current album we're talking about now...a totally different Jay from that RD to TBA phase..he broke in now, more corporate-minded with more businesses, money etc.

As I said in my review. It ain't a Jay album if he doesn't Big up his Brother. Jay Z actually samples Biggie lyrics 4 times on "Magna Carta Holy Grail" he even gives a shout out to Biggie's Legecy. Also Jay Z does give Biggie publishing credit on "Jay Z Blue" so Biggie's estate was paid on this album:

"The only Christopher we acknowledge is Wallace" - Jay Z on the song "Oceans"

Here are the lyrics Jay took from Big:

"Apology in order to Tyanna my daughter, if it was up to me you would be with me, sorta like Daddy Dearest" - Biggie (My Downfall)

"To Blue Ivy My daughter, if it was up to be you would be with me, Sorta like Daddy Dearest" - Jay Z (Jay Z Blue)

"I Dreams Filthy, My Moms and Pops mixed with Jamaican Rum and Whiskey, what a set off" - Biggie (My Downfall)

"I Dreams Flithy, My Moms and Pops mixed me with Jamaican Rum and Whiskey, what a set off" - Jay Z (Jay Z Blue)

"Blood flood your Dungerees and that's just half of my warpath" - Biggie (Long Kiss Goodnight)

"Jordan 1's and Dungerees and that's just the half of my warpath" - Jay Z (F.U.T.W.)

"Next two years, I should see about a billion/All for the love of drug dealing" - Biggie (Notorious) (Real N!ggas)

"Let's make love on a million,in a dirty hotel,With the fan on the ceiling/All for the love of drug dealing" - Jay-Z (Picasso Baby)

A good album is a 7. Y'all rating systems are flawed. An average album is a 5.

lol I wish I would've went to a school like yours.

his shit prolly got shut down by no child left behind back in the bush era if cats was averaging 50s and shit. In before meek raps about buttuhs school like:

"i started from the bottom/ living like a savage /where 70s were good/ and 50s were just average"
