-1st half of Picasso is reminiscent of DOA or Blue Magic-hype on first listen just b/c its throwback grimy, but it wears off

-Crown is wack

-Somewhere in america is catchy, a single, but corny. Those horns give me a 'Thrift Shop' type corny vibe

-The beat for Jay-z blue does nuthin for me..

-Beach is better is just not for jay z...

As usual on the IC, alot of people cant seperate the enegryand excitement of a new project from the actual product. Seems like 95% of highly anticipated albums are initially overrated on the IC bc niggas are just happy to get new music.

It shouldn't have taken 3 years for niggas to realize this aint that good an album

Exactly, this album was garbage don't y'all try some revisionist history now just cuz it's Hov. Nobody is going back to this album and while there were some AIGHT songs overall it's remembered for the marketing campaign.

His worst album easily (with BP3).

As a Jay fan, I was let down. I remember the CRAZY promo this album got b4 it dropped, I thought this album was gon be monumental....I was disappointed. I felt his lyrical range was super duper limited on this album.

It's definitely not a great album and one of Jay-Z's worst lyrically, I hated probably 5 songs off it (especially the intro), I expected more myself. You can tell he didn't try very hard on it
