The East without a doubt. My favorite group of all-time (EPMD) is from there to go along with BCC (Heltah Skeltah, Black Moon, OGC & Smif-N-Wessun). Add Mobb Deep, Public Enemy, Wu Tang, Tribe & the Lox...I don't see any coast fucking with them & I could go on. This is coming from a dude who is from the South.
