I like the idea about trying to get older heads in here to chop it up about the 80s/early 90s hip hop, making a forum of the 'Golden Era' or something... Im not an old cat, but like oldskool hip hop, so it would be dope to get some older heads on here chopping it up and dropping knowledge about some older tunes and artists etc

After reading @KillaCham's interview, he wanted to get more traffic here, so maybe @KillaCham and @5grand, you two can come up with an idea to get some older heads signed up from that Facebook group @5grand was onabout, and create a oldskool/golden era forum???

If the thread gets a few consistent posters maybe they'll eventually create an old school forum. I personally I don't see the need for it. If you want to post about the old school you can do it in the Reason.

I feel you Jam but you gotta understand how OGs operate. They need to get comfortable in a set, structured environment with rules, guidelines and a permanent address. If any of those things aren't in order OGs will start complaining (already happening).

How about this: "@"5 Grand" start a request thread, then tell all the other OGs you argue with on Facebook to join the IC and complain that there is no OGs forum. The rest of us will get so tired of hearing OGs complain that you will get your forum ( or banned).

Start with the thread. If the thread is a hit then it could transition to a forum.

I would honestly say come drop those old school threads in The Essence could end up the Underground/Indie/Old school forum...

Or just drop them in The Reason lol...

But you will probably still need to recruit some og's to get it poppin...

With all due respect, I'm unemployed but my time is valuable. In order to properly recruit people it would take a lot of time and effort and I'm not up to it.

The people who work for Allhiphop.com get paid to do that sort of thing.

I think thats mainly because alot of the underground stuff gets put into the reason, I post underground schitt in the reason but rarely go to the underground section...

I been saying that the reason needs an old school sub-forum. But the reason why it wont happen is the same reason there isnt more old school hiphop radio stations on air: Cuz niggaz wont listen to the main station anymore...

i.e. The Reason numbers might go down. But what difference does it make if money aint involved?
