Man yall got the shit all twisted....... the beef didnt have nothing to do with P nor Baby........they just made money off the artist....

Mystical and YellaBoy didnt have beef..... they had a classic battle....... and why niggas shittin Mystical sister....that had nothin to do with rap...welcome to New Orleans

The Big Boy-Cash Money beef.... basically was a bunch young dudes who all knew each other before any record deals or any local status.....we talking dudes who knew each other from

grade school, to middle school to high school.....who all was in cyphers, and perform local show cases around the city...... i mean from Mystical to Juve, to Magnolia Slim.... to P-N-C

to Fiend to Mia-X to Mac to Lil Slim....... they was all high school kids, and Fresh and KLC (from Beats by Pound) they were local dj's..... they knew all these kids.....from rappin and perfroming around the city.....Baby and Master P... just happen to offer this young group of talented kids some music contracts.....from there Ego goes into play....

but basically it was nothin more then a war of words with friends who shoot marbles together and played with spinning tops who rapped in the bathroom while skipping class...

nothin more nothin less.....they were all friends......but remember the money and fame will change you.......FACT: all the artist i named had already established local super-star with out any label......they were already legends before reaching Cash Money or No Limit.........

RealTalk4RealNiggaz.com

That other bullshit ya be talking bout CMR and No Limit sounds like yall got that shit from China in the 1950's.......ya sound stupid and lost and have no idea what u talking bout

i seen 3 stories so but this seems the most legit. its prolly cuz your sn is 7thwardslim tho lol

i hate to burst your bubble but this is not how the beef started to make it quick and simple yellaboy a member of unlv was messing with mystikal sister and he later killed her and got off clean no jail/prison time thats how cashmoney came into beef with bigboy this is why mystikal made those songs called murderer then the cashmoney big beef escalated until bigboy went bankrupt the nolimit / cashmoney beef came to be when bryan aka baby presented a intereste in doing a nolimit / cashmoney compilation to help get cash money a wider recognition and p refushed the proposal and some of the artist on no limit such as solja slim and mac were freinds with artists on cash money b .g were not allowed to do music together and the beef was more toward executives and their pride rather then artists no last but not least the pastor troy diss toward p wasnt real beef it was a publicity stunt pastor troy wanted to get known nationally and at that time was only known around his home area of atl and figured he would call shots out at the biggest artists out there at that being p and no limit that is who he took aim at kind of like what nussie did to boosie only p didnt take it to heart and boosie did pastor even did a interveiw and explained this get the facts straight

That song was about Mystikal's sister who got killed, not about Yellaboy...Nigga tryna change history

further more mystikals sister was killed by damion nevielle....not no fuckin yella boy, nigga really did try to change history lol

No Limit not a New Orleans, it was Bay Area label. Built on the West Coast Bad Boy comps.

yea i said it

SMH at the way Percy came in and out-hustled every part of your city. A city where niggas love to claim they have "game" and "hustle".

wheres Percy now?

Sic Wit It still around thriving, is No Limit? or The New No Limit? or No Limit Forever?

P hustled faster n harder while Too Short n E-40 hustled smarter. I hate when you IC niggas try to speak bay bidness with me. U only look foolish in the end.

To be honest the Real beef was inside the Cash Money camp!!! Yella boy from UNLV and Baby had real beef to the point that Yella wrapped Baby in the eye, and shot up one of his cars. This was in like 96-97 right after they released Uptown 4 Life their last album on CMR. Baby dropped them niggaz from the label, yella got killed later in '97 and Baby has been implicated but never charged wit Yella's murder. Now that's real beef!!!

the o.g. page was at least 150-200 pages long........ and that had all the real stuff all the real players......

What most of yall dont understand.....is that yall are gettin 2nd and 3rd hand stories......

yall repeating legendary shit and puttin way too much cut on it........

This is exactly why mf'z thought Jesus walked on water...........

New Orleans would have been a better musically inclined region if all those guys didnt sign to CMR/No Limit

if they all had the mind-state that P and Baby had........ they wouldve never been a P or a Baby.....

It some shit like having two And-1 teams from the hood......and David Stern see opportunity

lol that's not the OG thread. I made that thread earlier this year and it was just an appreciation for the music. The OG thread was from years and years ago. And somebody mentioned above it was 150-200 pages long. I remember that thread but can't find it.

My bad, I didn't read that it was the one 200+..I'll try to look for it.

Wish the other Cash Money/No Limit thread can be found smh...shit was mad informative

Beat me to it. I thought this was it before i clicked. One of the most informative IC threads ever

Mac told me all the artists were always cool...there was never any legitimate beef.

He even shouted B.G. on Cops N Robbers off World War III (which came out in late '99)

CMR was pissed about that Hot Boyz movie though..they felt P was biting them because they were hot (pun intended) at the time and to an extent that was true. P did have a cousin by the name of Hot Boy Jimmie who was really about that life though so it's not like it was the first time No Limit referenced "Hot Boy". P even had a song on Da Last Don called Hot Boys and Girls and that was before CMR blew up on a mainstream level.

What helped bolster Cash Money too was the fact that No Limit ran their producers into the ground. People always say that the reason NL fell off was because Beats By The Pound left but they were falling off before that. By the time Da Crime Family came out you can tell P's rigorous work schedule was catching up to his producers because their production wasn't as crisp and polished as it was on past projects.

P became cartoonish too. He tried to have his hands in too many things and his music suffered as a result. Had he kept rapping like he did on Ghetto D and actually retired after Da Last Don to focus on signing and promoting new artists NL's run would've stretched deeper than it did.
