I'm straight outta LA and we naturally vibe with N.O and Texas cats due to a lot of the OGs originally coming from there. Also we vibe with niccas from jersey too. Idk how or why but we have this funny connection with them in LA

For real one of my best friends (I was his best man) is from LA and me and him click naturally. He aint the only cali cat I clicked with like that.

On topic of the thread, I mean Master P got his start in the Bay right? As far as I know most of the Boot transplants went to the Bay, where most of the transplants from TX went to LA.

I definitely noticed it

Also if you look at this newer generation of young Detroit rappers, they all sound like some Hot Boys

Detroit and the Bay has had a connection for a long time now.

I can see that.

In the comments niggas said he sound like he was raised in east oakland, plus he moved to the bay and is always linking up with bay artists (philthy rich, cookie money, etc.)

a lot of people thought she was from the bay when this came out, and she said e-40 was a huge influence.

Now that I think about it, you could put any of these songs in a bay area playlist and a lot of people wouldn't know the difference.

Black folks in Cali have roots in Texas and louisiana

When I lived in LA I was amazed how much of their family are originally from Louisiana.

when black folks moved out the south, they mostly traveled by train line leading to many in the West being of Texas/Lousiana stock, Midwest-->everywhere but mostly Mississippi Delta and the Southeast as well as TN, AR etc., and the East Coast-->GA, NC, SC, VA

now with people moving back south you see a lot of people going back to where their grandparents and greatparents came from (LA and Chicago folks moving to Houston, NY/NJers moving to Atlanta and NC etc.)

Also one of the reasons why IMO Midwest cats sound like southerners because of the hypersegregation in MIdwest cities, yall never lost your country accents

OGs in LA started gangs in Jersey, unlike in NYC where they just adopted bloods and crips

thats why theres a Grape Street Crips in Newark

musically, we share a history of mixing funk and rap and we actually drive unlike NYers lol
