I been watching this show like crazy lately

Same just finished the Cell saga a few days ago. Starting up on the Buu saga tonight.

I was watching the frieza saga, now ima just restart from the beginning

The Great Saiyaman is hilarious, it's almost like a parody of classic American superheroes.

The costume is an amalgamation of many different heroes. The silly helmet is my favorite, dude looked like a VR trooper or a Power Ranger. The green tunic, reminiscent of Link from the Legend of Zelda, the saiyan gloves and boots, the classic red Superman cape and underneath...tights, a staple in all superhero costumes.

As goofy and over the top as Gohan was it plays to this being his "alter ego" as much as Peter Parker being more smart mouthed and witty as Spider-Man, a change in personality is as useful as a change in costume.

He may have looked like a fag and a goofball but he didn't take himself too seriously, he was having fun in a mask fighting crime. Even though he was older, he was still a kid in a sense as he was only in his teens.

Well you can say Goku was around for Gohan between sagas since they all have years in between.

Piccolo first trained him how to fight but it was Goku that trained Gohan go super saiyan. Dont think Piccolo could've help him achieve that.

It's interesting that Goten and Trunks were able to go SSJ much earlier than Gohan was able to. But at the same time neither of them (even combined) had anywhere near the amount of sheer power and potential Gohan had. In Mystic form he was stronger than SSJ3 Goku, so he had the power to go SSJ3 and STILL have more power in the tank for a bit more. Who's to say Gohan couldn't have gone SSJ4 if he kept training......

I think that a key difference b/w full breed saiyans and half breeds is that full breeds have the WILL to keep fighting, whereas the half human component of half breeds gives them the potential but not the thirst for battle. After all, it's perfectly human for one to grow complacent in times of peace. Gohan didn't even want to train he just wanted to be a kid, same for Goten and Trunks. What's more human than that ? Conversely, Goku and Vegeta may not have had the same human component needed to help them tap into intense emotions to unleash more power but they had the will to keep training so they eventually got there (albeit much later in life).

Gohan had lot of hidden potential. Gohan as a child was stronger than Goku and Vegeta as a child. Kai meditation just basically gave him access to the power he was going to have eventually after years of training

Gohan get drop in the movie cause the movie is basically the goku show and everybody watch in the background

If they wanted to make a hot Dbz movie, should make one where they have a team similar to z fighters and everybody get to fight
