Piccolo was the best father on DBZ

Gohan bought Piccolo Father's Day presents, Goku doesn't know Father's Day exists.

Was thinking about this shit the other day lol. My man Piccolo was really the father of Gohan who raised him from 3 years old to him being 12 years old when he turned ss2. He wanted his gear modeld after Piccolo and not Goku ether. It wasn't until he was older and became Ultimate Gohan that he wanted to represent for Goku.

I knew the situation, but I always thought that it was hilarious how in the early episodes of Z, everybody got nervous when Piccolo came around except for Gohan. Grown men getting shook and this little-ass boy is so happy to see him lol.

And did y'all notice how he always kept somebody from killing Gohan? Nigga used to come out if nowhere before that finishing blow was delivered. Same thing with Goku and Vegeta.

Dude stays dead for long periods of time lol he probably assumes crazy time passed. After the cell saga this dude didn't come back for seven years when his other son was born already lol.

Saiyan saga? He wasn't around until Nappa and vegeta

Frieza saga wasn't around for 80% of it fought ginyu, then sat out the whole Frieza encounter until his final form

Wasn't around for Frieza coming to earth

Was near dying from a heart attack while the androids put in work

Didn't get involved with cell until his final form then died

Doesn't come back for 7 years until buu

This dude was around for like 29% of gohan's childhood

This is something you can duplicate. Those fillers before the Saiyan saga really built their relationship, in fact a lot l DBZ filler episodes were about telling the story of the relationships between the characters.

Piccolo becomes a bigger part of Goku's family than Bulma, Yamcha, or Krillin even though they've known Goku much longer.

In the filler episode where they learn to drive Chi Chi forces Piccolo to go and even gave Piccolo Goku's clothes...


It's little stuff like that which makes DBZ what it is.
