Actually no... Mystic gohan was gohan power at its peak... Meaning he couldn't get any stronger

It's interesting that Goten and Trunks were able to go SSJ much earlier than Gohan was able to. But at the same time neither of them (even combined) had anywhere near the amount of sheer power and potential Gohan had. In Mystic form he was stronger than SSJ3 Goku, so he had the power to go SSJ3 and STILL have more power in the tank for a bit more. Who's to say Gohan couldn't have gone SSJ4 if he kept training......

I think that a key difference b/w full breed saiyans and half breeds is that full breeds have the WILL to keep fighting, whereas the half human component of half breeds gives them the potential but not the thirst for battle. After all, it's perfectly human for one to grow complacent in times of peace. Gohan didn't even want to train he just wanted to be a kid, same for Goten and Trunks. What's more human than that ? Conversely, Goku and Vegeta may not have had the same human component needed to help them tap into intense emotions to unleash more power but they had the will to keep training so they eventually got there (albeit much later in life).

There is somewhat of a process to going SSJ though. You're forgetting that when Gohan was coming up, they didn't even know the SSJ existed. We've seen that saiyans, Goku in particular, can pick up things pretty quickly just by seeing them. So Goten and Trunks seeing the SSJ state coming up gave them an edge Gohan didn't have.

Gohan was supposed succed Goku. But instead he became wack as he got older. My wish is that Akira turns Goten and Trunks to the next Goku and Vegeta. These needs to be at least help for Goku and vegeta. Besides im tired of Goku saving the day. At least have Vegeya defeat and opponent

Yea that was my point, maybe Gohan could use that machine bulma made for Vegeta to turn him into a Great Ape bc his tail was cut off but him becoming a SS4 just off of training isn't happening since there's no evidence shown that that's possible...

Goten & Trunks just weren't born with tails, Tori said he forgot all about the tails when he created them... Also if they did have tails they wouldn't turn into a Great Ape bc the moon was destroyed in dragonball i think, that's why Vegeta made that ball of light to turn into one when he fought Goku in the Saiyan Saga and why Gohan still had his tail up until that point...

Man it's annoying how strong Son Gohan could have become but chose not to SMMFH. Shit man if I was Gohan I'd have been light years ahead of Goku and Vegeta.

Well he was the strongest at the end of each saga b4 gt came along and forgot everything prior.

Think I remember reading rumors that buu saga ended with Gohan beating Buu but the fans sent AT death threats cause they wanted Goku to be the victor and he had to change ending.

So bascially, fans wouldn't allow Gohan to be great

Goten and Trunks should be in their mid/late teens in the new movie, they should've also been older in BOTG since it's suppose to be a few years after the Buu saga but that was plot hole not many noticed or Tori should've drawn them taller if they were older but i doubt they were bc Goten actually looked younger than he did in the Buu saga....

But it's a good chance we will Teen/Adult Gotenkz in the movie since Gohan has had a major change in appearance....

A spin off show with Goten and Trunks as the main characters would be dope, i jus think Tori would keep them more as brothers and a duo instead of a rivalry friendship like Goku/Vegeta with them not really caring who is stronger than the other, but of course Trunks will naturally have an edge bc he's more talented imo....

If it were to happen i would want Future Gotens' design to look like this..

And Future Trunks can retain his appearance from the Cell saga, with or w/o the sword, it doesn't matter to me...

If Tori sticks to the script then Trunks and Goten should start to look more like this in the new movie...

But if he gives them new designs than i hope he goes with something like this...

I like the idea of Goten & Trunks basically being on some Double Dragon shit but the problem is they are essentially the weakest saiyans right now. Sure you can explain that Gohan, who is much stronger has decided to hang it up but how do you explain No Vegeta or Goku? This DBZ you can't even say "welp, they're dead" because at that point it's like "umm so what wish them back!!"

You'd have to create a dystopic society similar to the one F. Trunks came from in which everyone is dead and nobody can be wished back because there are no Dragon Balls.

At that point all they have is each other, that works for me.
