There's a story about a town in 1921 ya'll should look up, I think the town was called greenwood.....It was in Tulsa Oklahoma. Prominent black suburb with a thriving business district. Long story short. White people came to see us bout some dumb shit....We shot back, snipers and all. Car full of white boys roll through when shit lit and we was tearin the whole car up during the short, brutal war. We fought like....Like.....hood niggas, na, hood niggas today wouldn't even have fought like that, but we were outnumbered and lost all we had. Amongst the dead were men who wore suits every day, men who wore work boots every day, men who preached, and young men who hadn't forged their path in life. All with the same mind, protecting the community, the community just happened to be somewhat suburban.
