I get what u are saying but u are thinking about it the wrong way. use the school thing as ur example. niggas often come home and go back to their high school games or go back and see their favorite teachers.

u don't go back to prove anything. u go back because its HOME.

I said u don't go back to prove a point but u just skipped that. it is hard to explain to a person who cant understand why folks would be connected to the hood. its not all bad.

I grew up in the hood and at the time u couldn't tell me I didn't have a good life (still cant tell me that shit now). I had parents who loved me and I made friendships that still last to this day. its my home my dude. my heart will always be there. did i leave? yes i did. i had the ability and means to move to the suburbs. i raised my kids in the suburb. we have a bunch of memories here so i love this suburb like i love my hood because like u said this is the home that my wife and i made for us and our kids. im sure when my kids leave to make their own home they will always come back to their suburban hood. no one will think anything is wrong with that so why is it wrong to go back to the inner city hood?

i never siad anything was wrong with it....but to say someone wouldnt survive a week in the hood after they made it out if just foreign to me. you go back to show love, give back...yadda yadda.

but i be damned if i go back to prove i can last a week.

so its two completely different things and reason for going back.
