Based off all expenses, the judge can rule for the father to pay half of all expenses. You can also request that a portion of their child support be placed in some sort of account where the child is the only person allowed access to it until the age of 18. But that must be worked out in detail with the other parent. Men don't really realize how many options they have in regards to child support. The problem is that the justice system won't promote it, and usually it gets denied based off of the payment history of the one asking for it.
Thank you for the information. All I've ever wanted to know is why( other than the obvious reasons) these options aren't made standard. I've had the privilege of seeing how some agencies of 2 different states work. The bottom line is that it isn't about the kid, it's never been about the kid. The kid is the catalyst to get the things some hurt, vengeful person wants way too often. It's not about being fair, just or accountable. I don't think it's outrages to want to know where your child support payment is going. If the government gives you money, you better believe somebody is researching and justifying why you should get it. It just seems smart to have a check and balance in place. Not to protect the person paying or to monitor the person receiving; but to ensure the kid is getting what they need. If the payment comes is $400 and the monthly expenses came to $300, enclose the statement from the bank that says there's $100 in a bank account in the kids name, what is no outrageous about this?
