the obvious answer is that it's impossible to actually figure how much a child is going to need from year to year.

There are the normal things we know they need like food watter, shelter but the thing is most kids will need/should have more than that.

Take for an example education. Should the kid just stay in public school or should they go somewhere else? A child's future is almost solely based on the education you give them.

What if the kid becomes sick or injured? You are going to spend more on a sick kid than a well one.

What if the kid becomes talented in some field, shouldn't both parents support their child's abilities.

Nay - I still say the parents should split the time (custody) equally and support the child themself. Mother have him half a year and pay all expenses. Father had him half a year and pays all expenses.

The problem with the court deciding is that shit ain't always realistic. My parents wouldn't be spending $800 dollars a month on each of us - let alone one of us.

but if the expenses are itemized ... then you can fairly make adjustments ... so everything yall just posted is not really a factor at all. and you cant send a child to each parent 6 months outta the year ... what if they live in different towns or even different states??

this would be a basic example of an itemized child support statement

at the beginning the judge will look at the main priorities

rent:
mom 700/month
dad 600/month
total is 1300 in which each party pays half ... each will pay 650

daycare:
500/month
each will pay 250

food and miscilaneous:
250/month
each will pay 125

every 3 months there will be a clothing/holiday expense .... and anything else you buy outside of the itemized list is not accountable in court

now of course it would be more detailed than my example ... but just so you get the idea
