Feminism is a white woman's issue, misogynoir is a black woman's issue where the parallels of race and gender together are factors in the hatred of black women. Men who derived from oppressed communities generally attack women's rights (not saying this is one), instead of attacking the systems and men who oppresses, and dominate them. Women are generally their easy way out, as a means to still make themselves feel like men, while they are still being toppled by men of other races. I still do not understand black men taking on white men and white women gender problems, and bringing them home, or reading articles such as this, because as a black woman, my struggles are different.

@AfrikQueen

Excellent insight.

Exactly the kind of perspective I was hoping to hear.

This was the clearest and most poignant thing I've ever seen you post.

That said, you're pretty much agreeing with a lot of the people that you constantly oppose. Very few guys on this site believe that Black women don't have problems they have to deal with. The common stance is that Black feminists have adopted viewpoints and stances that have been pushed by White feminists and don't apply to the black community. I know I for one agree that Black women have caught a lot of bad breaks in America from racists and other blacks. I just don't agree with a lot of the bullshit that Black feminists peddle and I don't believe with their need to put the fault for everything under the sun on Black men.

Most of the issues brought forth by black women are actually real issues that black women face. The problem is many black men seek to deny the issues, prefer not to confront them; as they generally forces individuals to question themselves. I'm sorry, but as an individual I do not want to be an element thats an oppressive force to others. Many black women are still in the position of seeking the right to be classified as women, we always had to refer to ourselves as black. Yet, in my own experience even though I fight for the rights for black existence, male and female, I personally can't say that I have experience more racism from white men than black men. My fight within the movement is for the right for black women to be recognized. Yet, a majority of black men fail to acknowledge that the way they see black women are generally through the eyes of whiteness. There is something systemically wrong with a culture when the women of that culture is being replaced by half-breed women, when mixed race women can apply themselves as being fully black. There is something wrong with a culture when we don't see beauty in African features, we find thick lips, nappy hair, darks skin and robust noses to be non-attractive on a woman, but only love the thickness of the ass provided by African genetics, but put non-black women on a pedestal, even within black culture.

The black lives matter movement was started by black women, who were fighting for black men. These women are what many of you all on here would classify as "black feminist." Yet, these women are fighting for the rights of men who will put Becky, Sophia, Akio, Asala, Lana, and Isabella on a pedestal with the flip of a coin.

This is one thing I have an issue with.. Granted. There are some men who do this.. But I am willing to bet anything that the gross majority of black men would do the exact opposite..

It is generally accepted that hip hop promotes mysoginy(sp). But if you polled a lot of these cats man.. They want a loyal black woman who is unfazed by the fame and wants the man for who he is..

Overall, i wont say your point in the bolded is wholly invalid. But at the same time I think it isn't as big a problem as you think it is. And the majority of black men appreciate black women for all they do for us..

To respond to the OP.. I just think its ridiculous that women feel they should get paid for pretty much going through the courtship process and what is part of being in a relationship.. 'Emotional Labor' my ass.. Anyone who knows anything knows that a relationship is all about doing what you don't want to do (Compromise). Give me a break with this non-sense.. SMH..

I have always maintained that race mixing is coon shit, but black men are men and most men no matter the culture tend to be patriarchal. Some black feminist confuse that patriarchal view as being whiteness which is something i totally disagree with. ADULT BLACK MEN don't filter how we view black women through the white perspective at all

i don't see how anyone can say that black men don't recognize black women and the struggles you go through for the race as a whole. The black community in america, with all it's single black mothers is basically ruled by black women and as many of you are quick to brag, you have better educations than us. ironically instead of producing black men who are anti-misogyny the exact opposite seems to be happening.

black women are literally producing men who hate them, some of us love our mothers but hate our sisters, why??? that is the key question. I think there is a difference between being patriarchal and being a misogynist, the black community could do with more truly benevolent patriarchal men and less patriarchal misogynist men.

No. The programming have already occurred for 400 years, its now in the cells. The solution is we need all black men who have a hatred for black women to procreate with non-black women, thus not applying their genetics back into the black gene pool. We need the next generation of blacks who will be born to be strong, not only physically but mentally. One of the main problems we face as black people, is that we are mentally weak. The offspring of mixed race couples according to most of the research I've read marry white partners; such unions give birth to white children (many black men of this generation will be the grandparents of white grandchildren), thus eliminating the blackness from the gene pool. This is beneficiary to the survival of black people, we don't need future generations of blacks boys and girls not wanting to date and marry each other because they are black. It's survival of the fittest, its time to "X" out those who take the easy way, which evolution is already doing.

Because black love is a revolutionary act.

Incorrect. The difference between black men and men of other races, is that black men often times uses non-black women as a replacement to black women. Such women often times become the faces of blackness. For 400 years we've been told by the larger society that black women were ugly, primitive, and unattractive; due to their skin tone, thick lips, nappy hair, and robust nose. Yet, when a white women appropriates blackness; black features that are exclusive black women, not only do the larger white society then accept such as being beautiful, such as having a large ass, but black men then finds beauty in such subjects.

kim-kardashian-jez-600x450.jpg

Black men will date or marry a non-black woman, and parade her around in black circles, like she's a trophy. Men of other races who date outside their race do not use their non-black spouse to replace the women of their race, matter of fact, no matter how many Asian, Latina, Black, Arab etc women a white man fucks such women will never replace nor compare to that of a white woman. I lived in the UAE for 3 years, and have visited Kuwait, and Egypt many times, Arab men rarely step out with non-Arab women, and if they do such is kept on the low, at the end of the day they exalt their women. When I went to South Africa and Nigeria, only then did my views of black men change, as not only did I see black men finding beauty in women who black men in the western world would consider unattractive, but in my conversation these men didn't find non-black women to be attractive at all. Which made me believe the issue is more related to the paradigm of living in a white mans society, than being patriarchal. If it was just patriarchal, the majority of Caribbean immigrants would not be cuddling up with fat white women in the UK, while ignoring attractive black British women, just because they are black. More mixed race offsprings from black men are being born in the UK, than black children.

You guys make so many threads on here about black women in other parts of the western world, and how they are different from black American women, yet in places such as Brazil, black Brazilian men marry white women more than black Brazilian women, many of the stereotypes that you all project about black American women, are the same thats projected by black Brazilian men. Out of 100% of black Brazilian men only 30% marry black, and procreate with black women. The issue is not patriarchal, the issue is being a black man in a white mans world, who have defined man hood for you, who have defined womanhood for you, and have continually stated that if your partner does not look like xyz or does xyz they are not desirable.

A paradigm shift to blackness is gonna need to take place, expeditiously!

I've talked to many black men of different generations, even my great grandfather who lived to be over 100 years old before died. They all stated since they were children they have all known black men to shit on black women, even for most it was difficult for them to admit. Black women raising men who hate them is not the problem, as the issue was already present when the black marriage rate was higher than that of the white marriage rate. I think when a gender/race have no protection, people have this innate element not to respect you, and that has largely been the case for black women; no matter how much education they receive, no matter how much they make at their job, its always the case.

However, I think the presidency of Obama, and the inclusion of black music (Hip-hop), as a means of black males in previously all white spaces have projected this element more so than anything.

See, you defeat you own stance with the bolded. The actual statistics show that Black men marry black women at a high rate, and thus the whole "Black men only want women outside of the race" shit you keep pushing is just one example of the indictments that you and others throw at Black men, which are just plain false. If you want Black men to understand your plight, stop misrepresenting us and exaggerating our faults. How do you expect to get Black men to support you with your issues if you're constantly hitting us with the same bullshit that the enemy hits us with. White people get on TV and constantly tell the lie that Black men are deadbeat dads. Do Black women stand up for us and tell the world that's not true? No, most of the time, ya'll jump on the bus and throw us under it. It wasn't until the CDC did a study that it was revealed that Black men are among the most active in their children's lives. So how exactly are you supporting us or fighting for us?

Have you ever heard of Norah Vincent? I just heard about this chick the other day. She's a lesbian and feminist that wrote a book called "Self Made Man." She basically went a year masquerading as a man in an attempt to expose male gender. She basically came out of the experience believing that women exaggerate male privilege and downplay the areas where women have the advantage. Of course she was coming mostly from a white person's perspective, but I'm sure it also applies to black women. Again, I think every dude in here would agree that Black women like you who shed some light on the problems out there have some valid points. We just believe that you take things too far at times and try to hard to scapegoat Black men for many of the problems you face.

so all you are really saying here is that black men have been brainwashed into liking white women and associating everything white or non black as being better. Is it not more likely that because black men in the western world are presented with more options that some of them simply choose to date outside the race based on their own weakness and their partners novelty and not some kind of imposed societal brainwashing.

Is it not more likely that these black men simply choose these white women because they don't want to deal with the perceived stressful relationship that comes with dating black women. A perception they would have attained form watching their own black families and friends

america is also a white society but most caribbean immigrants don't date fat white women in america at least not nowhere as much as in the UK so what;s so different about america it's probably the higher population on black women.

YEAH THEIR have always been black men who shit on black women that should come as no surprise but the question is why??? is it just brainwashing i doubt it

if even when the marriage rate was higher black women still produced men who hate them then the problem is even worse, because it means that there can be no respectful relationship between black men and women because even when we were each others only option we still produced children who hated themselves and their biological counterparts.

black women have to establish respect for black men first before any of our issues can be fixed because men love to be honored and respected and we typical love those who respect us and with that love should come protection attention and all the other things all women crave.

According to data released from the 2010 United States Census only 35.8% of Black men are married. So using data that picks at the percentage of black men that are married, and those who are exclusively married to black women, while ignoring the fact the majority of black men never marry, and that the majority of black men with non-black men never marry due to the fact that interracial relationships with black men don't last long according to the Pew Research center makes your argument null and void. You have to apply the number of black men married and non-married (in relationships) with black women to make your point valid. I don't expect black men to support black women, nor to ever stand up for the rights of black women, black men have not done so for 400 years, why would they do so now?

I don't apply white feminist rhetoric in my life. Using Norah Vincent is an example of that, which proves a point I made early of black men wanting to be white men, thinking the problems white men have with white women, are their problems. Black men want black women to remain silent to their experiences, while being their cheerleaders.

The degrees I have hanging on my office wall included no remedial courses at all.

However, you and the chick in your avatar both look like you have down syndrome. Children raised on welfare need not to step to me about my experience as a black woman, in a white mans world; along with my experience of dealing with black men who sling sexist Victorian paradigms at black women.

[/quote]

If you really feel that why then why bother with the black race at all??? just go your way and be with a white man
