I never say shit is simple. I know life ain't simple but we also know that people make life harder than it has to be at times by not doing simple shit like communicating what's on their mind. The situation you gave is different because anybody can be fired/lose their job. That's different than going into a relationship/marriage knowing your spouse don't work and has really shown no plans to but meanwhile hoping the "commitment of marriage" will magically make them mature into this person you want them to be. If she were to leave him for those reason yeah she'd be grimey and stupid to boot, but that's her decision to make and the dude can know he did his part. Marriage is a fucking scam. I just spent the last 7-8 months sitting in court watching men get jerked over because of that "legally binding" relationship. I watched a mf making $250 K / year getting raped in court by his wife. Left that nigga w/ crumbs. Had me sitting there wanting to kill that broad for him. Why? Society tells people that you have to be "married" to prove your love for your partner. Marriage is mostly beneficial for women. My girl and I both are like "fuck getting married again". Also when it comes to shit like child support niggas really seem to forget that if you're a single parent you are still footing the majority of the daily costs of being a parent so man or woman, and yes I think it needs to be publicized more than percentage wise their's more dead beat mothers who don't pay child support than fathers, I do think you should help with those costs for the child. I ain't talking about supporting a grown adult. I'm solely talking about costs related to your child's well being which by default does include the place they live when they're not with you. Alimony that's a whole different ball game that yes does need to be reworked

This is the case of alot of laws being outdated and needing to be reworked. Niggas forget that women working and actively contributing to the household is still a fairly new concept in society. It ain't really been around that long. Wasn't but a few generations ago that a woman was 100% dependent on a man for every damn thing. Shit women couldn't even get fucking bank accounts or credit cards w/o their husband signing off. I work in real estate with a company that deal is property development in DC that buys land/buildings and either renovates it or leases it out off top and my uncle has been a real estate agent going on damn near 20 years himself and even now we still run into alot of elderly women who are just now getting shit in their names because their husband died and all they ever knew was shit being in his name so they have no clue how shit works or how or what to sign off on. So alot of the unbalanced laws we see today are a product of the court system trying to over correct that shit when it came to marriages ended as the stigma behind divorce lessened and people starting ending marriage more. Is it right for 2017? Hell no....but do I have a basic understanding of the "why" part of why alimony is so skewered towards women. Yes.
