The way I heard it was that they are both setting up a label on
Rhyme Syndicate,I think it's called Murder Inc,something like that.
I'm not to sure if they are both staying together as EB and Rakim
or if they are gonna produce artists only and Rakim will kick on the
solo tip,with a flow like his,he could do it easily.Eric B can drop
some phat beats,but cant sratch worth ****.

No matter what year it is there will always be those saying music in that day sucks and older rap was better. Many now talk about how dope it was in the 90's but back then you had people saying the music was garbage. Yes your favorites will get hated on too......

I agree that hip hop has its problems and maybe it's what's in a
"state of emergency". Too many wack rhymers over too many wack beats is
bad for hip hop as a whole. And while 94 was a better year than 93, it
still pales in comparison to the 89-92 era of everyone from Public Enemy
to De La Soul to Diamond D.

Well, BIG has a new single out and if you didn't know, you must be
chillin in the Artic or something. I hear "Big Poppa" everywhere which
is trippy since "Funkdafied" wasn't out that long ago. Amazing how the
pop listening audience works isn't it? This isn't to dis BIG, but c'mon,
Puffy (who produced the track) what were you thinking? And if you'll
notice, apart from the Dre-esque whine during the chorus, Puffy STRAIGHT
lifted the sample without doing anything to it. It probably took him all
of five minutes to process this one through.
Frankly, I'm going to flip the needle onto "Warning" for some of
BIG's better (and more original stuff).
Rating: Big Poppa-2 out of 6 (been there, did it a couple of times, don't
want it again)

I got a chance to see a videotaped copy of the Jerry Springer show...
The panel was Bushwick Bill, Luther (Luke) Campbell, and 1/2 of Bytches
With Problems (who also did a verse from their rap "Fakin", which refers to
fake orgasm's by women... it was censored by the station but everybody it

Bushwick definetly came off as the most mental... Springer was trying to
criticize use of the word bitch and Bill came back with references from the

Luke sounded semi-stoned/blunted/buzzed/whatevah, but he also made some

The member of BWP kicked the whole basic BWP scenario, about how they use
the word bitch as a source of pride, meaning "Strong black women who takes
no shit"
They also had some reverend dude who kept quoting The Source, something
about Russell Simmons saying, "The harshest records sell the best, and in
the white neighborhoods". Well sa-PRIZE sa-PRIZE! Sex and violence sells,
strange that. But even your basic nasty NWA song still kicks a ghetto
perspective that most of AmeriKKKa doesn't have...
Other noteworthy events: They had Bushwick's mom on the phone... she
sounded very Jamaican (at least IMHO). She talked about how she likes that
music Bushwick does and that she knows "he is a good boy". Also, a woman
in the audience cited various hip-hop records that talked about strong
black men and women, and said that when you see beyond the cursing involved
with these records there is a positive message (you GO gurl).
