Why people keep bringing up racism? Lebron or Maverick didn't call Phil a racist, clearly said he didn't think it was racist, just disrespectful. I don't blame Lebron, you gonna respect my shit.

Because Lebron brought race into it. He specifically said "I think the only reason he used that word is because its young African Americans trying to make a difference." So he basically saying "I'm not saying Phil is a racist, but he's being racist."

Posse isn't a racist term. Bron being sensitive

pos·se

ˈpäsē/

noun

US historical

a body of men, typically armed, summoned by a sheriff to enforce the law.

BRITISH historical

the body of men in a county whom the sheriff could summon to enforce the law.

noun: posse comitatus; plural noun: posse comitatus

informal

a group of people who have a common characteristic, occupation, or purpose.

"he pompously led around a posse of medical students"

A lot of words aren't racist inherently. The word "ape" isn't racist alone. But, it certainly is when you call Michelle Obama one. The word "thug" just means violent criminal, but the people calling Richard Sherman one knew what the hell they were saying. That muthafucka knew what he was saying and would never think of calling a group of white businessmen a posse.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Lebron most certainly did make a racial implication, and the white media is not really whose pushing the racist angle to this story.

Phil's supporters and media personalities have come to Phil's side and said he wasn't racist or they thought the comments weren't racist. When all along the issue was about the disrespect of the comment.

I don't give old white dudes the benefit of the doubt, given the history of this country, so I'm going with racist.

If it's not racist, it's derogatory to say the least. He could have said "crew", "team" and a list of other words that fit. I'm pretty sure LeBron's friends are also his manager, his accountant, and agent, so the term "posse" is nowhere near appropriate.

"Posse" is synonymous with "Gang".

Please ignore his fake outrage.

LeBron is doing what many say they want athletes to do and put his money and time up to help black folks and he put up $40 mill to put essentially a generation of kids into college for the sole purpose of staying in Akron to build up the community. Y'all got to realize different people fight the battle in different ways.

That wasn't my point. I was only speaking of his fake outrage. I'm aware he put up the money which is very admirable.

Dog, you don't have to say the word "racist" to say someone is committing a racist action. If you claim that someone did something specifically because of your race, you are saying their actions were racist.

He said, "young African Americans".

Had they been older, maybe like MJ, Magic. Maybe they would have gotten the respect.

Then he could have just said young people. He clearly put the African American part in their for a reason. Why are you arguing against something that's indisputable. lol

If a nigga accused you of liking to fuck young men. Would you say "Oh he didn't call me gay and he said young men so only the young part matters."

I've seen most say it was disrespectful for Phil to say it and also he had no business speaking about another team and their past in the first place. The only "defense" I've seen people offer is that he's not racist which Maverick and LeBron specifically said themselves

What makes it fake though? Because he's mad somebody took a personal shot once again, remember this ain't the first time Phil Jackson has said this about LeBron and his friends/business partners, and he called him out on it? Because he stepped up and said the truth which is that young black men who are in the business world are looked at as less than by white folks especially old white guys? What exactly is fake about it?

How about he feels that Phil may respects older established black business men more than he does young black business men.

Tha fuck is wrong with you? Why is this even on your mind? You couldn't think of another example of potential racism?
