#81: Part II On the Run

#83: Oceans

#91: Picasso Baby

Well Jay. The world just told you want to release as singles. All these are bangers. Damn at "Holy Grail" debuting in the Top 10. You have to give Justin his credit on this album. He brought some great energy to this project. But wow Jay completely took over with this album.

Went to the club last night and they played some shit from the album. Tom Ford really didn't set it off like I thought it would. I don't see it having the impact of Paris. They also mixed parts of Somewhere in America with an old Juvenile song.

props to wale, jay, j.cole, mac miller, and kanye..... these dudes will be remembererd for the spark they gave hip hop during the summer of 13'....

lets salute these niggas, real shit....

People sayin Tom Ford could be the next NIP but I dont see it, it doesnt have that banger feel that NIP had on the first listen

Now Part II is just made for a commercial run, that one should blow up real soon

I can only speak from my experiences but I heard Tom Ford in the club and it's obvious it's going to be a banger. Remember, "N!ggas In Paris" didn't take off initially and then it grew into a banger. "Tom Ford" is already off to a better start on the Charts than NIP. The beat is vintage Classic Timbo. It bumps. Outside of "Holy Grail" it was the highest charting non-single from the album. It's obvious Tom Ford is an instant Banger by that chart appearance. "On The Run" has the chance to be Jay and Beyonce Biggest hit since "Bonnie and Clyde, Crazy in Love and Deja Vu". The album is already at 1.5 Million and it's obvious it has singles for days. This album is going to do very well once the videos start coming out. Here's the order Jay should release the singles:

Single #1: Holy Grail

Single #2: Picasso Baby

Single #3: Tom Ford

Single #4: Part II On The Run

Single #5: FuckwitmeyouknowIgotit

If the album is still selling after those 5 then you can drop "Oceans" and "Crown".

Just like NIP I remember when Impire State Of Mind first dropped ...I was in the club and the shit wasn't really connecting like that to these west coast cats .....two months later ... Same club ...Same Track ......But this time niggas was in that bitch jammin ..bunch of west coast folks talking bout "lets hear it for New Yooooork"

Lol .... Sometimes it takes longer than two weeks after the album drops for songs to fully resonate with the people .... That "Tom Ford" is going to do some damage in the clubs once people start learning the lyrics and shit

Being hot doesn't mean shit, being commercially consistent doesn't mean shit. The only thing that means shit is dropping quality music.

LMFAO then what the fuck does Lil Wayne have to lean on them if not sales, it damn sure ain't classic albums or timeless music.

Quality music is the last thing i think of when i think of Wayne. When i think of quality music from this generation, Kanye West is the only person that pops in my head. Oh yeah, he consistently shits on Wayne sales wise too.

Fuck Lil Wayne. I dont give a fuck about Lil Wayne. Do you not get that my whole purpose when talking about sales is to show how irrelevant it is when indicating quality of music?? Popularity shouldn't determine how good an artist is.

If popularity doesn't determine how good an artist is, what does?

I always thought that is something is well liked, it generally means its good....

Form an opinion on the music itself, not external factors.

Reason I argue about sales is because I love business. Jay-Z is one of the most fascinating figures in hip hop when it comes to marketing, management and finance.

However I don't think sales are an indication of quality at all. Fuckin fat ass Adele who isn't talented last album sold 30 million copies. But if you wanna give a rapper props on their sales you should be consistent and fair to everyone. If we get to the business and psychological aspect of it we can say why a rapper sold what they sold. Most people are uninformed though.

anybody who says Adele has no talent but then has gucci mane in their signature. comments and opinions are completely irrelevant.

If you say so b. Or you could do the knowledge and check my track record in the R&B section. I ain't nothin but a French Montana fan though.

lmao what does your knowlege on r&b music have to do with adele when adele is not even a r&b singer. your statments get more stupid by the minute. adele has tons of talent whether or not if you like her or not but to say she has no talent is a just plain dumb.

It's R&B and Alternatives section idiot. It's where any form of sung music is discussed on the IC. If it's a thread about that whale bitch it will be made in that subforum.

Jigga Warriors, keep ethering these emotion-filled posts.

lmao how did i become a jigga warrior for saying adele has talent, see now your comparing adele to jill scott. i say this again 2 totally different singers with 2 different types of music. how can you get upset because adele songs resonated with more people 30 million album (inflated number but whatever) verus jill scott (who is one of my favorites) who barely saw gold. your statement still doesn't make sense. adele is not a r&b singer in way shape or form. adele music is not sold off of hype her genre and her lane is nothing like hiphop and pop act who can get by with a gimmick she has a amazing talent. adele is a songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. way more talent than you realize. quit the hate.

She can do all that shit and her music still isn't good. I compare her to Jill Scott because people label her soulful just like they do that culture vulture Timberlake. You know what I'm talking about b. no where did I call her an R&B singer, I mentioned that SECTION because you brought up a Gucci Mane song on my sig that has nothing to do with nothing. But most places she is classified as pop, soul, blues even though I disagree.

I'm not calling you a Jigga Warrior, I'm talking about the Warriors reacting to your posts where you think you're sonnin someone but you really aren't. And 25+ mill, whatever..

Tom Ford, honestly the reaction was kinda dead but I'm sure it'll get better as people become more familiar. Musically it wasnt that bumpin as I thought it would in the club so I don't think it'll quite reach NIP level. Anyone who goes out knows NIP had the club going crazy.

Just listening to TBA...Jay fucking killed What More Can I Say...last verse is so tough

Hova the God nigga blast for me

^^I always wonder when I here that simple shit if Jay meant it...or did he realise after he spit that shit...

On the real this album knocks harder in the whip than most of Jay's albums. I think Tom Ford is gonna blow up

Am I the only who's not really feeling BBC? Nas, Jay, and Swizzy? Could you imagine what that would sound like in 99? To me Swizzy has lost it, but he's married to the baddest bitch in the world so he's winning.

Oh SMH at me, Pharrel needs to get off that Daft Punk shit then and get back on his 04 shit

Compared to Black Republicans shit is ass juice. Prolly my least favorite track on the album and given the amount of talent on the track that should be completely illogical. The album still bangs tho

"NIP" came in on the charts at 70 something. "Tom Ford" is already a Top 40 hit the 1st week it came out. It's 40 spots higher than "Part II On the Run" so it's technically an instant hit. I do think the Beyonce collabo will climb the charts but "Tom Ford" Is already having a better start than "NIP" did wither it not it grows to it's level is remain to be seen.
