From what I'm getting in the song from the first verse he still rocks with NGE/5 Percenter path from the lyrical architects of the past 80's i.e. Rakim, Kane and rolling with Jaz-O, but at the same time he's a freethinker/agnostic...

He doesn't ascribe to any religious affiliation. The NGE isn't a religious affiliation anyway and always been a staple in Hip Hop music regardless so I don't think it was a trolling attempt.

This ain't a bad album...it ain't his best but i don't he'll ever top RD so i take it for what it is....new Jay-Z music...he took some chances musically and there is literally something on there for every kind of Jay-Z fan...Picasso Baby is prolly my favorite song right now but the other ones i don't really like are growing on me(BBC sounded terrible to me at first but it's a nice club joint and can get bootys shaking which is it's purpose)

I give it a 7.5/8 out of 10

But it's interesting that this album will be double plat with no singles when both his last two albums failed to accomplish that feat.

Yet marketing has nothing to do with it. It's all about quality.
