Take like Dainty for example. If she had NEVER posted a pic, i wouldve known she was at least attractive.

on the net, like in real life, attractive women (or confident women, which is also attractive) are usually more calm, relaxed.

women that may not be gorgeous, but might still be dateable, tend to be sharp, witty. (like Haute. when i finally saw her pic, she was almost how i expected her to look) she's attractive IMO. partly do to her sense of humor

and then, usually ugly women (or those that were picked on as a kid) are really harsh, short and bitter.

so if you are being genuine in your posts (true to your real self) personality oozes through.

Umm.... I don't know, I just have an idea for seeing who is and isn't my type by someone font. A picture helps more than words I believe in terms of looks. But there is a female poster who used to post like a batter bitter ugly woman who now post as a coolass, fun type woman who men are enamored of so to a degree, what you are saying is true.

but men front more in general that's why it's all the same. so this theory may only work for men who cant trust themselves to put personality first, which still spells shallow to women.

With internet dating you can be drawn into more of what they present themselves as, more so than you would their looks. I def agree with this -but- you can front on the net a lot easier than you can in person.

i've done a fair amount of internet dating, from BP to Okcupid, both free, to AFF and Blackpeoplemeet, both pay, and it is very similar to going out and dating, but more deceptive. I've had girls mention artist I mention in my profile and other shit, only to be completely clueless about them in person. Talkin bout being independent and owning their own cribs, but neglecting to mention that they have 2 cousins a brother and best friend sleeping on the couch.

If you start off chatting with folks, most put their best foot forward and try to present a very pleasurable side of their personality. Its just like on here, folks can type and claim all types of lifestyles, but be completely different in real life. Its like the "myspace angle" for personalities.

I guess in theory it makes sense but then again people are saying their online personalities vary from their real personality....so it's a crap shoot still. I dont know why people have such a hard time being honest and refuse to admit how lonely they really are. It's the only way to get to what you really want

I'm not gonna lie, when I would holla at chicks who I thought were a catch, I would be selective about what I told em based off their profile and their responses. Its a whole lot easier to sell a positive image of yourself if you have a log of every statement made and you got a buffer between your responses.

Definitely. Lies/ a fake persona of course would be easier to maintain online with all the backlogs. However, deception was not birthed with the internet so it's equally as possible to do offline. Either way, being observant and cautious should apply to all realms of life.

I talked to people offline from this site, male and female and 85% of them were exactly the same. Especially those passed 1,000 posts. It's funny cause many females who are popular here are popular in their outside life too. The low key fonts are low key in real life. I will say that some of the former IC fellas who I really didn't know till the IC facebook are interesting as hell. More interesting then some of my friends who are also great communicators. In that, I see your point. Looks wise, Idk. sserica was fine and her font was ugly as hell on this site. Some were dead on like Huney. She was crazy on and offline. Those are just some examples.
