I don't like this new Jay. MCHG was his attempt at making white people friendly/ hipster friendly hip hop. I understand it but it just ain't my cup of tea.

lol what?

Music that his target audience will like. Jay knows what he's doing.

so what songs on MCHG are examples of white people friendly/hipster friendly hip hop? beach is better? heaven? FUTW? somewhere in america? jay-z blue? oceans? fuckwithme....? crown? on the run? picaso baby?

the only song that was "white people/hipster friendly", whatever that means, was holy grail. easily the worst song on the album, but it was just one song

Holy Grail IS the best song on there IMO. Picasso Baby, Oceans, are hipster music.

The JT song is the "worst" song on the album? I don't buy that.

the song highlighting black people celebrating on a yacht over the atlantic ocean and realizing these are the same waters we crossed over when we were slaves = white friendly/hipster music

When did I say it wasn't white people music? IMO which means my opinion not yours it sonically was the best song on the album. We can agree to disagree.

I thought that's what BP3 was...

the ablum is wack, his second worst album....everything from the lyrics, beats, and flow are all sub par

and don't get me started on that tom ford song, shit is soo annoying

me being a fan, i can't help but look at what jayz is doing and thinking it's ruining his legacy as a rapper, with the exception of american gangsta, dude hasn't done anything worthwhile in a looooong time

White people liked 12 years a slave too bruh. The subject matter doesn't make it not what it is. Jay was following the experimental trend so since "hipster" and "white friendly" grates your nerves. I'll say he was blatantly following the new trend.

so no matter the intent of the record, if white people like it then its white/hipster friendly?

white people enjoyed PE

did they make white friendly and hipster music?

12 years a slave is a white friendly movie because white people enjoyed it?
