How can people say the Carter 1 was better than Carter 2

I originally remember him from their In My Lifetime Vol. 1 album. That nigga T-Mix was among the first to put Beatrice's snake ass on blast and niggas still be signing to CM smh

Carter 3 changed this nigga for the worst.

All that laughing and giggling, saying unintelligible shit can't even compare to Carter 1 and 2. He even had something to say. How was he more mature on the Carter 2 than what he displays as he gets older? it's crazy.

The fucked up part is those leaked tracks leading up to C3 were hinting at some epic shyt but the actual album was a sign of things worse to come.

That was his album though , if you take the best songs from the carter 3 leak tapes you get his best album

Exactly. But why switch up the formula that drastically? He already had the world in his palm ready. We woulda paid for his best album... I mean the paid for C3 but I digress (nigga Jeezy had a far superior album than Wayne that year. TIP too). Shyt pisses me off til this day. Don't get me wrong C3 has some dope tracks but damn

I dont know if you all remember but the main criticism he was getting at that time was "he can rap and kill verses, but he cant make singles"

C3 didnt drop for the longest because he needed that #1 smash hit to go along with the hype/buzz so he switched it up and started making nothing but single/radio type of hits
