I remember watchin an interview where he said he stop tryin to be the best because people still goin to buy all that weak shyt he puts out

This is when I offically threw in the towel. Never listened to a song from dude again.

he shouldve left

he couldve been even bigger than he is now. wayne on the roc when it was poppin wouldve shook up the world

plus i dont think jay wouldve giving him a hard time when it came to creative growth or matters of finance

look at him now. begging to leave the label he saved yrs back

say what u want but sometimes being loyal doesnt get u anywhere

He forgot that business is business. He fucked up the moment he called that man "daddy"

on one hand i never heard of jay not paying his artists properly but at the same time he probably wouldn't have gotten all the promotion he got at cash money. also instead of being the biggest star on his label (at least for a while) he would have been consistently third at best on roc nation.

also if you think about it it's still not 100% clear what wayne's real issue is with cash money and i get the feeling it's more personal than business but either way at the end of they day that label made him not only dumb rich but also a superstar so it's hard to imagine he would have been better off in a different situation.

there would have been better odds that wayne would have been either pushed by hovs success to keep spitting harder and or stop spitting after he lost motivation to be a businessman. The problem with YMCMB is he got praised by Birdman and crew weather he made dope shit or weak shit. Birdman let him feel like he was the man while taking his money and eating off the talent wayne found (drake nikki etc)

The odds would have been better for wayne to either keep growing rap wise or to realize he needed to move toward being a business man if he saw dame and jay set that standard for him to keep growing and running your own business.
