How can people say the Carter 1 was better than Carter 2

Look bruh I ain't even reading comments so excuse if this has already been mentioned but C1 is a concept album.

From beginning to end Wayne is walking you through this den of inequity, which is why it's called "Tha Carter" after the name of the drug infested project in New Jack City. It's in-line with the name "Cash Money" which is also taken from New Jack City.

That's why I prefer it. You can also hear the superior flows and technique Wayne practiced on those mixtapes actually being used and put to work on this album. It's not totally free-form and hook-less like most of C2, it's far more structured, more thought through.

You can hear the Jay-Z influence is C1 too, the album is structured almost exactly the same as Vol. 3: Life & Times of S. Carter except not as pop oriented but with more of a Southern street edge.

Cause it is t/s lol, thats one of those albums were i can bump it today

and it still take me back to the time when it first came out...

C2 might be better a lil better lyrically and more polished like everybody already said

but wit Mannie on them boards and Wayne snappin on the mic cause he know the future

of the success of CMR ridin on his back, he had to deliver on that album, he was still hungry

Baby made him scrap the original version and re do it cause it wasnt up to par

so u know the pressure was really on em to come wit a solid project to keep the label thrivin

Then bruh did just that and dropped what i think is his best work..

Carter 3 changed this nigga for the worst.

All that laughing and giggling, saying unintelligible shit can't even compare to Carter 1 and 2. He even had something to say. How was he more mature on the Carter 2 than what he displays as he gets older? it's crazy.

In all fairness alot of crack got leaked and didnt make the album, it could have been on par with the other 2 if the leaks didnt happen.

This

Carter 2 is Lil Wayne best product. And this is a coming from a nigga from new Orleans who witnesses that album impact after Katrina in 2005. Shit was powerful. Like on some uplifting shit.

Just from the track "Feel Me", shit was epic.
