Its a good album....rarely any shock rhymes, rarely any crazy references to Kim,multiple flows, and several shout outs to rap legends and even dedicated a song to his mom and ppl still got something to complain about Lol...I just wonder what exactly would ppl like Eminem to rap about? If cats can't relate cause he's white that's one thing, but it seems ppl are hesitant to give Em his just due regardless

We know every artist have folks that wont like the music no matter what..I never liked and will never like any Drake song in my life so it is what it is.

Ok but specifically what would he have had to do for it to not be wack?

I can acknowledge that he fell off but I also think since Recovery, he got back on.

Fam you're talkin' like Em is incapable of makin' a so/so album. Better beats, better concepts, better hooks. Maybe Stan was a fluke, coz he's not made a song of such high quality since.

Bad Guy is pure genius.

It's not his content his his wack ass beats and him feeling the need to yell so damn much.

This I agree with because Eminem could get any producer he wants to put some nice beats on this album.

I've always felt with Eminem he doesn't make production on his album a top priority like his lyrics.

review, bit of a long read

bad guy - I'm not gonna lie, I kinda marked out once I realized this song was the sequel to stan. that song made me an em fan when I was younger. the beat switch was ill as fuck as well

so much better - I guess this is puke pt. 2. it's cool

legacy - hook is kinda pop-ish but it grew on me. I kinda related to the lyrics cuz I'm a bit of an outkast

asshole - the first skylar grey hook I enjoyed. thought it was pretty funny. maybe because I can be a bit of an ass myself

berzerk - this song grew on me like a fungus. I think the vid made me change my mind about it. it's a fun track

rap god - I still think this song got overrated. yes em is showing how he can put words together effortlessly, but the fact is he's done that plenty of times on BETTER songs. honestly most of the songs on this album are better than rap god. this is just okay

brainless - this song reminds me of 8 mile road for some reason. not as good but enjoyable

love game - .....I like this song. I won't admit why because I don't know why. leave me alone

headlights - kinda disappointed in this song. I thought a positive song about his moms would be great, but it wasn't. the hook was more heartfelt tbh. I'm not saying the dude from fun murdered em on his own shit, but it def. stuck out more

evil twin - good closing track. sounds like a just blaze beat. the only song on the album I feel has a lot of replay value

I also liked rhyme or reason and

so far

now about the songs I didn't like....

survival - sounds like won't back down pt. 2. not as good

the monster - get the fuck outta here

stronger than I was - no seriously em, get the fuck outta here with this bullshit

for the songs on this lp to be so long, it sure does seem like they end abruptly. but overall it's a good album. not classic, not terrible. just a good album I can listen to for a while. that's all I ask for

7/10

Pretty Much my thoughts as I listened to it.. 3.5 mics..4 mics if you value lyrics.. 3 mics if you hate the beats...

THIS was the first album I wasn't naive enough his be surprised by people saying it's bad. Not because I think Em has fallen off (far from it) but because I've finally realised that even in hip hop, no matter how good an album sounds to one person, another can completely hate it.

So serious question to those not enjoying it, what did you WANT out of the album? What would he have had to do to make you say the album was dope? Cos for most of my favourite artists, if they make an album I'm not happy with I can usually explain exactly why it sounds bad to me, and what I wanted out of the album, in terms of flow, beats, subject matter etc.

So seriously, if you didn't like it, what did you want?

Why you didn't do the bonus tracks

Damn the stans for eminem are crazy. No way anyone can say that album is great. Average is the best I'd give it and that's being honest. The beat selection was horrible. Lyrics aren't the best he has had. His flow is nice. His flow is the only thing to make me not call this shit doo doo butt water

Why you didn't do the bonus tracks

I can't review songs I haven't heard yet

and to be honest I'm not that anxious to listen to them
