Nah didnt catch it but I know he hates dude from twitter..

What he say?

that he was the worst director in hollywood and then compared him to a drugdealer....which I thought was a bit over board I mean I have certain negative feelings about his films but comparing dude to a drug dealer is a bit much

Worst director in hollywood is a stretch.. the drug dealer analogy is on point though. But you could say the same for any successful director in Hollywood with a gimmick

I dunno hasn't controversy always brought people together? Even the positive shit that's "universal" has some element of controversy...

We are even more connected today than ever.
Dude is jumping.
Just because we are more diverse/distrcated with more offered to us doesn't mean that the REAL doesn't make it's impact.

I do like when people write articles like these because it always brings perspective to me afterwards. Good Editorial

I know that Harry Potter craze was huge as fuck at its peak. At one point, you literally couldn't go anywhere without hearing something about that nigga Harry Potter. I still remember summer 2007 when the final book was released, man that was easily the topic of the summer/year. Shit was crazy.

I think its because more people we're on the same wavelength in attitudes, whether we realized it or not.

To clarify: lets talk about the 80's for a second....

Despite the adulation of Ronald Reagan and the retro chic of 80's culture, id say a good part of 80's youth culture was defined by anger. Kids were pissed off in the 80's. White kids were pissed off at the culture of substance-less excess that was starting to surface and yuppie culture (and the Brits who were still making a huge cultural impact were pissed off at unemployment and Thatcherism) . Black kids were pissed off at being left for dead in the inner cities and failure to move on past the civil rights movement.

So by the time the late 80s early 90's came around, those pissed off kids of the 80's were now able to vent out their frustrations. Hence some of the more groundbreaking albums of that era. Those albums reflected the attitudes MANY young people had and it'd been a long time coming.

The 90's however weren't really marked by that universal anger and frustration at the world though. Clinton got everyone trusting of the gov't again. The tech, media, and industry booms kept us all busy and happy. No huge conflicts, no talks of nuclear annihilation due to the cold war. Fuckers got fat and content. And the explosion of the internet meant we didn't have to listen to same shit as everyone else.

Thats just my two cents though.

This article is comical with no mention of the Wu Tang Clan.

sidenote: Am I the only one who feels like if you spent 10 minutes talking to that Toure clown he would say at least one thing that would make you just want to slap the shit out of him?
