Wait a fucking minute, you niggas like yeezus? The fuck were you niggas at when I made that "yeezus is not that bad thread"? I was lonely like a muthafucka in that thread. Damn Eminem make yall like shit you normally don't

If the claim is that this is a dope album b/c of how lyrical it is I'm going to beg to differ and say it's actually one of the worst albums of all time that happen to be lyrical.

Y'all caping saying it's about the rhymes and not the musicality of it need to sit y'all dumbasses down and listen to Capital Punishment, Reasonable Doubt, MMLP 1, Be, Black on Both Sides, It Was Written, and even more recently GKMC, MNIMN etc...

Great hip hop covers all grounds. Get this trash juice y'all are trying to cape for out of here, b.

It's appalling how low the bar has been lowered in hip hop music.

Asshole grew on me also. When I saw the name nate as a feature on headlights I thought it was his brother at first. Would've been even better if it was

Doesn't his brother rap too or some shit? I'd rather not hear it if he's wack.

Idk but I found out it's not. It's some white guy from iowa. Songs still great tho

Nate Ruess is part of the band Fun...they had that song "We Are Young" that was popular as fuck...he ain't some random dude Eminem found lol

THIS was the first album I wasn't naive enough to be surprised by people saying it's bad. Not because I think Em has fallen off (far from it) but because I've finally realised that even in hip hop, no matter how good an album sounds to one person, another can completely hate it.

So serious question to those not enjoying it, what did you WANT out of the album? What would he have had to do to make you say the album was dope? Cos for most of my favourite artists, if they make an album I'm not happy with I can usually explain exactly why it sounds bad to me, and what I wanted out of the album, in terms of flow, beats, subject matter etc.

So seriously, if you didn't like it, what did you want?

No. I was gonna do the whole "hi I'm new" thing but thought it was a bit corny and unnecessary. I came across this after watching the Ja and Irv Breakfast Club interview and thought the 50/Ja/Queens thread was really interesting. But thanks for the heads up.

Ok but specifically what would he have had to do for it to not be wack?

I can acknowledge that he fell off but I also think since Recovery, he got back on.

Fam you're talkin' like Em is incapable of makin' a so/so album. Better beats, better concepts, better hooks. Maybe Stan was a fluke, coz he's not made a song of such high quality since.

Beat, concept, hook, lyrics... That is a complete song. On most songs of MMLP2 he's only working with 1 or 2 of those pieces, whereas Em of old would at least have 3 of those elements going for him on almost every track.

That's the difference. @Jamieshea88

Yeah all/most artists have what you would call their best song. Eminem has Stan. He's had nothin' close to it in terms of creativity and execution of concept IMO. Not to say that he doesn't have other dope songs.

Second listen. Still weak.

And Stan isn't even Ems best song, "The way i am">>>

That's a pretty good explanation that I can't argue with.

Surprised at people saying nothing comes close to Stan though. I can think of at least 5 songs of the top of my head.
