Bruh, Eminem is probably my favorite rapper ever but defending this shit is laughable. Em can't seem to balance extreme lyricism and entertainment anymore. Ems anger is manufactured now. This album is like relapse and recovery; they all have some really dope cuts (deja vu, stay wide awake, cold wind blows, gpinf through changes) but overall the album is wack. We trash Cole for forced punchlines but em its lyrcism and "he's setting up the next line," smh

THIS was the first album I wasn't naive enough to be surprised by people saying it's bad. Not because I think Em has fallen off (far from it) but because I've finally realised that even in hip hop, no matter how good an album sounds to one person, another can completely hate it.

So serious question to those not enjoying it, what did you WANT out of the album? What would he have had to do to make you say the album was dope? Cos for most of my favourite artists, if they make an album I'm not happy with I can usually explain exactly why it sounds bad to me, and what I wanted out of the album, in terms of flow, beats, subject matter etc.

So seriously, if you didn't like it, what did you want?

Ok but specifically what would he have had to do for it to not be wack?

I can acknowledge that he fell off but I also think since Recovery, he got back on.

Fam you're talkin' like Em is incapable of makin' a so/so album. Better beats, better concepts, better hooks. Maybe Stan was a fluke, coz he's not made a song of such high quality since.

A song not being "Stan", not even Em's best song IMO, doesn't mean it's wack or not good quality. Maybe if you stop listening for Stan pt. 2 and just listen to the music as is you'll hear what you'rel ooking for. Not saying it's a certainty but you can't really expect to hear an album w/o bias if you're going in with the mindset that you're talking about in this post

Not listenin' for Stan pt 2. Listenin' for something as creative as. Or at least something of similar quality, IE 8 Mile Road

Forget it bredren...It's a losing battle against these kids. They can't form logical sentences.

I'll tell you why they dont like Emimem.....They cant relate to a white boy rapping...At 1st they loved the shock value, but now that his material has changed up a bit(His skills have always been there) they dont like it and piss and moan like a bunch of children. They cant relate if it aint about bitches, bottles and gats....I know's Ill get wack and feelings referrals on this, but it just shows there's a level of maturity that's missing in The Reason....I seen a lot of cats who are different and bring some logic, but the majority are closed minded that run in packs like hyenas and gang up on ppl...It's a mob mentality in The Reason......

Why can't people just not fuck with it, cause they don't like it?

Em has dope shock value tracks and dope introspective shit that everyone acknowledges, so people don't like just one side of duke.

I think the point is the reasoning behind a lot of the opinions. I've seen maybe a couple post of legit criticism, and these ppl leave it at that and move the rest just sounds like hate and u can clearly tell they didn't "listen" to the album. This isn't an album u put it in, let it ride one time through and u got the big picture. Its just not.

Em was never solely about shock value , he had introspective songs like " rock bottom" "million bucks" "8 mile road" even back on infinite he had songs like "its o.k" , that had nothin to do with shock value. Stop looking for lame excuses for why people dislike this wack ass album. Again he's rapping over beats that doesnt even fit the content to the song. His flow is incredible as always, but he's relyin on it and not focusing on SONGWRITTING. Those hooks with the bitches singing are wack af compared to the hooks he used to do himself.

This is the internet and this is The Reason and just like You Tube comments, everybody has balls of steel to say what they want. You really think these cats would talk like this to strangers in public? Maybe in packs like they do on here, but individually, a lot of these cats are pussies who would get the shit smacked outta them.....

So let them have their fun....Doesnt mean it's the truth

Nigga your opinion on music sucks, you think that Fredo joint with Kendrick is good

1.When did I ever say that?

2. Get out your fucking feelings

3. Did you figure out the metaphor to "love game" yet, or you still dont get it?

em's one of my fav rappers. but the beats he has been laced with on these last two albums are terrible. yea we know its not always about beats but it does help the lyrics out more. u can have multi's and metaphors but people will get turned off by the instrumental.
