Sometimes I wonder if Africans really care about their homeland and their own well being. Because I see more Black Americans getting upset about whats being done to Africa than true Africans themselves. Its like they don't even care. The question is why should we care? It's not our business.

Because like it or not what goes on in Sub-Saharan Africa effects the way blacks are viewed world-wide. The world doesn't recognize us for our various culture,nationalities, and ethnicities. When they see us, regardless of where we are, they see black people. Africans.........blacks dont have the privilege of saying "well that whats going on in Haiti, I'm South African" in the same fashion a Japanese would say about a Chinese or a German would say about a Russian. The fact that we are viewed all the same regardless of who we are or where were from should bind us together in solidarity. But it doesn't obviously.
Right now it seems that every black ruled nation on this planet faces the same dilemma of absolute poverty and corrupt leaders. This fact raises doubt about our ability to lead. In the back of everyone's mind, they are asking themselves "are black people capable of being self sufficient?". They aren't asking themselves "are Haitians capable of being self sufficient" or "are Nigerians capable of being self sufficient". We are all black and we are all viewed the same. Do you get my point? We are in this fight together.
