will Jay-Z drop 1 more classic in 2013 and prove he's the King of NY or.........

I fucks with both artists, but Nas's catalog is just overall better and has more substance overall.

However, Jay's catalog is more accessible and sells better. I think that's a fair trade and why the Nas/Jay dichotomy is still relevant after all these years.

I thought Kingdom Come could've been better though... but I think it's overall better than BP3.. I thought BP3 was pretty peculiar for a 41 year old man to make, but Kingdom Come and American Gangster werent bad albums, people just needed a reason to hate on Jay at the time.... and even with Nas as my favorite rapper, I can say that HHID was overrated by a lot of folks too.

I think Jay's next album HAS to be something more personal and internal. I just dont get a 43-44 year old dude still talking some of the shit he does this far in life. But we'll see

According to the IC the album was wack though and only sold cuz Jay know how to market himiself lmao...some logic I can see if you said it had some below average songs on there like Hate, Song with Drake, But to say the whole ablum wack is not true...

Niggas hate success. They find every reason to hate on a successful black man that's doing shit his way. If Nas was more successful, they'd hate on him too...just look at Jay, T.I., Wayne, Ross & any other brother that's getting it. I can't say I like Wayne's music, but he's doing shit the way he wants to do it. I know I won't like his music so I don't bother to listen to it. These dudes listen to rappers they don't like just to find something to hate about. The shit is pathetic.

Yeah because Nas ain't a millionaire as well?

You know what I mean. Mario Chalmers is a millionaire, but he's not on Lebron's level. Those dudes I mentioned are on another level as far as the success they've attained. Nas has moved more units than Ross & maybe T.I.P., but he can't match their financial status. We both know he's not seeing Jay or Wayne so there's no reason to speak on it. Dude is a good artist...hasn't made anything I really cared to listen to more than once in the past 6 or 7 yrs. I cop his shit, listen to it & keep it moving. I don't see the need to go on boards & post have much I dislike his music or how wack I think this or that track is...takes too much negative energy for that.

Its about the music, the artists you mentioned don't put out music as good as Nas. T.i isn't really hated aswell.

That's your opinion...I like all those artists besides Wayne better than Nas right now. There was a time when I appreciated everything Nas put out. At this point & time in my life, I'm not a big fan of his music. I appreciate what he does, but I don't listen to his latest efforts too often. He'll always be no lower than 2 on my GOAT list, but I base that off of his first 2 albums. If you put GFID or LIG in front of me & asked me to pick one, I'd go with GFID. It's just how I feel. It's not a knock on Nas. I'm just about the entertainment value nowadays when it comes to music. I watch enough MSNBC, CNN, & read too many books to need to listen to someone preach on their album. When I was younger & was trying to find my way in the world, I appreciated all that he came with & his point of view was refreshing. Now, I'm grown & I see things how I see them & I don't need a rapper to educate me on the way of the world or anything pertaining to that. I don't knock him because there are still plenty of people who are blind, deaf & dumb to the facts, but I'm not one of them...so if I want to listen to Hold Me Back over World's An Addiction, I will do just that

How many songs did Nas preach on Life Is Good?

Too many for me to listen to...if you like Nas, I'm not mad at you. I understand. He's a very talented brother. I just don't want to keep his latest shit on repeat. I still listen to Illmatic & IWW on a weekly basis. The rest of his stuff isn't what I choose to listen to. It's my preference. I'm not knocking you for liking Nas or preferring him over anyone. I'm just saying you can't expect everyone to do the same like I don't expect everyone to like what I like. If we don't agree with what's better, I can respectfully disagree with you. I'm not going to knock you for what you prefer.

First of all, this discussion isn't limited to LIG. I stated I haven't had a desire to listen to Nas on a regular for the last 6 or 7 yrs. LIG was ok...World's An Addiction is a form of preaching to me. He isn't Chuck D with it, but he gives his opinion on shit. I don't want to hear that right now. You like Nas, great. How the hell is "World's An Addiction" preaching? If that shit is preaching than the whole Illmatic is preaching. That's observation and story telling.

Are there any other tracks on the 19 song album that he preached on?

No, I was just saying how I preferred one album over the other. Nas has put out a lot of music within the past few years that were preachy. If you choose to interpret what I wrote as that way, you can. I'm letting you know that's not what I was saying. Cats on here act like LIG is the album of the year & if that's how they feel, I'm not mad. I'm just letting you know I'd rather listen to GFID.

You took part of what I said & rolled with it.
