Dems are just as fuckin stupid as Republicans. They don't wanna govern either. Looking for this "unicorn" candidate to endorse ain't gonna happen. It's unrealistic to believe that you're going to agree with someone 100% of the time. As long as the person you're backing has most of your interests in mind, then there shouldn't be an issue with you supporting them.
This is not a difficult mindset to achieve, and any person with a modicum of intellect understands it. All of these war cries and rallying will be moot if you can't even settle playground disputes. Smh. The whole political landscape needs to be blown up and we need a couple mulligans.
I mean, there's a reason Bernie won't align himself with Dems either. He understands that they're in damn near as bad a shape as the opposition, and all of the in-fighting leads to dick getting accomplished for the people you're supposedly representing.
The Dems have zero organization at this point. You have different factions battling for control like its Game of Thrones or something. The AARP wing put Pelosi back in power and still push Hillary onto the public. The Bernie wing is batshit crazy and the major reason why the nuclear option was used for the SC. Then you have the purists who don't want anyone who isn't pro-choice and full SJW to run for a Dem seat.
They need to stop worrying about elections in Kansas/GA, stop with the Trump/Russia BS, stop with the #resist crap, and develop an actual platform for 2018 and 2020. Then go out and find YOUNG and PRACTICAL candidates that can grow into potential stars. Say what you want about the Tea Party, but they did this very thing in 2010 and swept over the House.
No, they don't need to stop that shit. They should continue with what they're doing, and in conjunction, develop their platform. These people are supposed to be the creme de la creme of the country. I'm sure they can walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.
The fuck you get "creme de la creme" from? Most politicians are just empty suits. But hey, the Dems didn't listen during the primaries or general election either, so I' sure most feel the same way you do. All the more reason to dithc both parties and be independent.
Demss look like Knicks management these days...disorganized, depleted talent, and no direction going forward.
They have/had some ideas. Raising National minimum wage was a Democrat proposal for instance. A lot of the reason many of their platform was not instituted fully was and has been due to Republican obstructionism. People will figure it out or maybe some wont. Obamacare is another example of a program that was actively undermined at every turn. And it still survives to this point even with that. Like I said people will figure out what really goes on (many already understnd) and some maybe wont. Not to say any party is perfect, but its more to it than "Democrats are terrible" some of us realize the obvious fact that is said by the saboteurs themselves. Your doing what you do on here pro Trump anti Democrat but it aint fooling everybody. For instance, propoganda aside some of us actually remember what the economy was like when Bush was done with it and how it grew with Obama. Facts. At some point there are some things that are on the voters and people who chose not to vote too.
1) National Min Wage has always been a garbage thing to focus on. Only 3% of workers even get min wage, and raising it just leads to less jobs. The true answer is bringing back high wage paying jobs. Which was hurt by outsourcing of production, and in-sourcing of professional and tech work. The idea that people think they deserve $15/hr for flipping burgers is a joke. We used to joke as kids that you would grow up to say "paper or plastic", but now people are acting like that's a career.
2) Obamacare is trash. It's not single payer, had no public option, had no cross state policies, and killed catastrophic coverage which meant you could get a cheap plan if healthy and just cover major things like a broken leg. And for what? So the healthy and young can pay for America's obesity problem? 21% of costs is all on people being fat, something over 200 billion. My premiums have shot up like crazy since ACA. Its cool if you're poor, but if you work and have people to support you're fucked over.
3) And yes I'm anti-Dem, but also anti-GOP. I've said a million times that both parties are the problem. People should go independent, which we used to be pre-1970's for the most part. The whole partisanship game is a scam. Dem control pretty much every major city in America, who's stopping them from fixing shit? Nobody. And if you're fine with being a Dem that's cool, my point before was that the tactics they're using are dumb. I was a Dem and put in political work back in college, but went Indie after I saw all the bullshit that goes on behind the scenes. if you want them to do what's needed, you better start putting pressure on them, and not just co-signing all the nonsense they're doing right now.
Bill Clinton is a scumbag, but dude did know the political landscape way better than Dems do now. Once they got rid of the DLC things went downhill for them.
