MMLP was the strongest in my opinion...but I don't think there needs to be any sort of agreement when it comes to this kind of thing. Classics are defined by the listeners, and by what the album means/meant to the listeners - not by majority vote.

I personally like everything except Encore, which I feel was just out-of-character 'weak', but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that someone thinks Encore is a classic.

this makes sense to me, SSLP > TES > MMLP

fuck you dretox btw

Mmlp>>>>>>sslp>>>>>tes

mmlp is a hip hop classic, lyrically amazing production off the hook an all around great cd. Sslp is a solid 4/5 though.

Stan>>>>any song on tes, sslp

Can't agree with this.
The songs on MMLP stack up better than the songs on TES regardless if you think he was at his lyrical best or not.

Eminem is the only rapper that is considered "elite" that doesn't have an irrefutable classic album. This could hurt him in the eyes of those who put more emphasis on catalog than actual skill. Is this wishful thinking? How important is catalog to you guys when determining GOAT contenders?

I thought MMLP is Em's classic to everyone.

The Slim Shady LP & The Eminem Show too

Critically acclaimed, Awards, sales, general opinion, other Rappers opinion, publications, reviews and so on

The Marshall Mathers LP went beyond Hip-Hop cos other genres embraced it as magical

A skilled rapper who's legacy will be cheapened by his stans over rating him.

Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP & The Eminem Show (all Produced by Eminem predominantly)

Lose Yourself & Stan (all time great Song's)

Lyricist, catchy Hook's, emotion, deep Song's, funny Song's, content based on real life experience, Produced countless Hit's from Smack That to Lose Yourself

Produced classic Album's like Cheers by Obie Trice & Devil's Night by D12

What more can you ask for? an MC that made 3 amazing Album's that Sings & Rap's about his life experiences (which many people relate to)

Biggest reason I put him in my top 5, even if his antics/stans are suspect at times.

Agreed. He's obviously been over the hill for years now, but he did what he needed to do when the time was right.

You thought wrong....granted, his skills were up to par but he never utilized them to craft a memorable album.

Stan

I'm back

kill you

Kim

marshall matters

the way I am

real slim shady

criminal

that was a classic cd and very memorable, between the top notch lyricsm and production I'll remember the mmlp.

I always said when I go to soemone's crib and see their cd collection there's 3 CDs no matter what race I've scene pop up the most.

Thriller

Nevermind

The Marshall matthers lp

the most mainstream accepted rap record ever.

yea. I think we all know em has some skills. But his catalog, for the most partm is subpar. This will hurt him in the long run when it comes time to evaluate his work, as standing the test of time because compared alongside his other "elite" contemporaries, the merit is just not there. Overrated...hell yes.
