I always use to think Vegeta was the best fighter on DBZ

always thought vegeta should have been the one to murk freeza. It would have mad the most sense.They gave goku way to may Ws. That along with Gohan going majestic and collecting that second W by beating Buu would have made DBZ a lot better.

Its crazy. The explanation of why Vegeta would train so hard and Goku would still be stronger than him didn't come out until the Buu Saga. Goku is naturally more powerful, that's when Vegeta basically gave up trying to match him. It wasn't a matter of training, it was a matter of Goku being born more stronger. It was Vegeta's training regimen that made it look equal. If you watch their SSJ2 battle Vegeta explains it. He allowed Babidi to control him to gain power he couldn't achieve naturally but Goku wasn't supposed to be able to achieve SSJ3 naturally either, he could only do it in the spirit world so that's ultimately how the power levels got outta wack. Goku had otherworld training that allowed SSJ3 to happen but even at SSJ2 and during their SSJ1.5 Goku was stronger (check the Cell Games).

Vegeta was a better fighter and strategist than Goku as well, he just didn't have access to the same powers. Piccolo is a better fighter than Goku too, he just lacked the powers. That's the only thing that separates Goku from them, he had the power, skills and experience, while they only had 2 of the 3.

That's the beauty of DBZ to me each character had strengths the others didn't. Gohan was unmatched in raw power but he lacked the passion, and experience. Vegeta was a better hand to hand fighter but never had access to adequate powers and was ill-tempered. Piccolo was a master strategist and an intelligent fighter but he also didn't have adequate powers. Goku had experience, skills, and power but wasn't exactly the bright bulb in the box. Although Goku embodies the best of everyone. He's kind, childishly naïve, passionate, and an idiot savant when it came to fighting.

Vegeta was stronger than Goku before Goku died the first time... And He was stronger than Goku during the android saga... Goku being stronger than Vegeta during the Cell Games didn't make sense because he was weaker than Vegeta before they both went in and he left earlier than Vegeta did... Also, Vegeta went in there twice so there's no reason to be weaker than both Goku and Gohan...

Nigga, nothing is natural about dying and receiving other world training. Vegeta would have surpassed goku if he received similar training like goku.
