Yes "Great Saiyan Man" was corny but the guy was in High School. He had to hide his powers. I always looked at that as Toriyama paying homage to "Superman" since people say Goku and Superman have a lot of similarities. Gohan gets a bad rap period. Also the whole "Lover not a Fighter" debate you have to look at both Gohan's Mother and Grand-Mother Gine. I think Gohan was about "Peace" more than anything. Yes that isn't the Saiyan Way but Goku changed what being a Saiyan is all about. Also I'm going to pull some of you guys Dragon Ball Card. FUTURE GOHAN was the SH!T. He was hard as hell and he's the reason Future Trunks went on the mission to save Goku.

One thing I didn't understand: was Mystic Gohan technically stronger than SS3 Goku?

Yea, mystic gohan is the strongest non fusion character.

Ok. If this was the case, then why did Gohan get written off so easily? I'm sure if SS3 Goku was having a hard time with Kid Buu, than Gohan would've worked that fool.

And wouldn't his contribution to the Buu-killing Spirit Bomb have been much more?

Because Gohan is not a fighter. They spent damn near the whole series telling you that shit. He's got more power than anyone but he doesn't have the will and the love for fighting. Hell, even in the Buu series Vegeta was clowning him for not being able to steamroll Dabura. And even Goku was looking embarrassed.

Vegeta should be the last nigga to talk shit tho lol,this nigga got his shit push back in by frieza and when he was on his way to death he starts crying and getting all in his feelings how Frieza G'd the saiyans.

All after that nigga Vegeta swore he was a super saiyan and he could dust any man to step to him, that nigga wasnt shit till the last season.

Vegeta was the man.He had all the pride and never changed who he was.He is the reason for Goku even going to Namek in the first place.Vegeta could have killed Goku, but spared him after Ginyu took his body because he wanted to fight him at fulls strength.He showed Goku that you can not spare your enemies and that idiot Goku still tried to let Frieza live.

Goran not bein' a full saiyan is no excuse for his wackness. Tien is full human but he's always strivin' to be the best he can be. Master Roshi another one. Gohan was just a bitch nigga and that shit got really old really fast. After Piccolo died against Nappa Gohan shudda grown a pair.

But yo damn manga innit. these good heart niggas nh need to be angered before they can fight properly

on the other end of that spectrum is Yamcha, who is lazy as fuck and isn't really interested in fighting...he just wanted to impress girls.

Gohan was young as fuck when the saiyans first appeared, I agree they should have developed his character more but the expectations were too high. In a twisted way I like Gohan, he is the perfect example of a guy with talent but no drive or ambition.

Ok the flip side Vegeta overachieved, he wasn't expected to ever become even SSJ and he went beyond that.

The future versions of Trunks and Gohan were thorough as fuck. That's being baptized in battle, I was hoping a dystopic universe would come forward after we saw how bad Trunks time was. We kinda got that in the Buu saga when Buu ate and exterminated the humans but It wasn't as good as Trunks' universe seemed.

While we on the subject, they never explained why the androids in the normal storyline were stronger than the androids in Trunks' time.

Also they made a movie just to explain Trunks having a sword lol. I like Trunks movie too, another one of my favorite DBZ movies.

Even in other world that nigga got no fucking airtime either jeeeezzz.... you'd think in the Tapion/Hildegarn movie when all the villains came back he'd have tried to make amends with Goku and company and asked them to wish him back so he could fight alongside them.

Him and Napa ain't get NO mentions after they got wiped out lol damn shame but they should get on a spinoff with how vegeta and his crew were so brutal and these great warriors same with Bardock and his wife.

I don't agree with Gohan not being a Fighter. It's clear he was. I just think he got to a point where he didn't want to "Fight" anymore. Imagine you are taking on some of the most powerful villian's before your 15th birthday. Gohan had every right to retire and let's not act like Gohan couldn't get down when he wanted to. The boy proved his power levels were some of the highest in the franchise. I just think Toriyama wanted Gohan to take over the show and Teenager Gohan just wasn't as strong of a character as Goku. Also "Greato-Saiyan-Man" was a little cheesy. But I will always have love for Gohan:

-End of frieza: vegeta dead, goku whereabout was unknown leaving gohan as the successor

-End of cell: goku dead, gohan only super saiyan 2

-End of buu pt 1, goku dead, vegeta dead, mystic gohan once again the strongest saiyan and whup super buu's ass

It look like the direction they were going in was dragon ball was goku's story and dragon ball z was suppose to be Gohan's but the problem was, goku and vegeta was more popular so they wouldnt let gohan get his shine and they kept writing Goku as the hero

I think it was b/c Trunks' appearance in the other time shifted the outcomes for that particular future a bit. Cuz there was also Android 16, 18 and 20 (Dr.Gero) that wasn't suppose to happen plus Goku was suppose to get sick 3 months earlier before their arrival.

Yeah, it was when Cell and then Trunks coming into the main timeline from their own separate timelines that altered a lot of shit.

I just don't think it was a coincidence dude looked exactly like Goku. Dude had the coolest gloves on the whole show BTW.

Turles was supposed to be Goku if he had never hit his head and lost his saiyan personality.

Dude was still a baby when he landed on earth. How was he suppose to remember wiping out the planet at that young an age? Aside from identifying who his mom and brother was, I don't think he would of had memory of anything else. Amensia or not.

unless there was some kind of message in that space pod. I don't think Goku even met his father in the Bardock special.

In the Bardock Speical even though it appeared that Goku was an Infant, based on Saiyan age he was actually older and "Dragon Ball Minus" shows Goku's life before he got to the Space Pod which Bardock had to steal to send him to earth. Also I agree with people saying we need a Vegeta Prequel about his life before and after the Planet Saiyan blew up. We've gotten nothing but quick flashbacks. We need a proper prequel. I wanna see things from King Vegata and Prince Vegeta's perspective. Like with Goku in this new prequel. They could also show Vegeta's mother and show more about his younger brother:

Unfortunately, I'm only 23 so I didn't get into Dragonball like i did DBZ. I respect Dragonball for being the OG, but DBZ knocks me over the bag with nostalgia whenever mentioned.

Budokai 3 is the GOAT DBZ game (even though it included mad characters from DB: GT). Anyone who disagrees obviously doesn't mind playing fighting games split screen with the homies, but I HATED that shit. If your fighting game requires you to split the screen on a 2 player vs match, you doing too much.

Long live DBZ on Toonami. Shit had me trying to support other Toonami shows so I could have something to hold me over till new dbz episodes dropped. Thought it was a lost cause till they blessed us with yu-yu Hakusho.

I bought the HD collection budokai 1+3 for Xbox 360 like 2 days ago and I already got like 75% of the characters unlocked. My excuse is im on hella medication due to injury at the job so I got nothing better to do than order delivery + re-live my childhood in the privacy of my own dwelling.

With all that said I will be rewatching DBZ through the new Kai dub. Yall niggas some weirdos talmbout "omg the voices" yall really rather read hours of subtitles than just hear some niggas being paid to read da script in English? I ain't bout this anime life bruh I'll admit I'm only still stuck on this shit cuz DBZ raised me but I doubt the voices finna make me be like ayo fuck this shit b Id rather read my movies.

The personalities are different. Vegito has more of vegetas appearance and arrogance while gogeta acts more like goku and is a little more to the point.
