Damn I'm watching DBZ right now, Vegeta is transforming into Majin Vegeta and I forgot how raw that shit was.

This was vee good storytelling, of course they ruined it when Goku went ssj3 and nullified all this shit but in the moment it was the rawest portion of the show since Gohan transformed into SSJ2 during the Cell Games.

One thing I didn't understand: was Mystic Gohan technically stronger than SS3 Goku?

Yea, mystic gohan is the strongest non fusion character.

Ok. If this was the case, then why did Gohan get written off so easily? I'm sure if SS3 Goku was having a hard time with Kid Buu, than Gohan would've worked that fool.

And wouldn't his contribution to the Buu-killing Spirit Bomb have been much more?

Because Gohan is not a fighter. They spent damn near the whole series telling you that shit. He's got more power than anyone but he doesn't have the will and the love for fighting. Hell, even in the Buu series Vegeta was clowning him for not being able to steamroll Dabura. And even Goku was looking embarrassed.

I'm not really sure what the connection here. You act like Frieza was a bum. At the time, Frieza was the strongest active being in the universe, so there was no dishonor in Vegeta losing to him. And you're faulting him for getting in his feelings? lol It's not like Freiza took his lady or something. Freiza destroyed his planet and practically everyone he knew, and then proceeded to keep him as a House Slave. Vegeta had pretty much spent his whole life hoping to find a way to get revenge and kill Freiza. He got emotional because he realized he wouldn't live to see that through, but he implored to Goku to finish what he couldn't. How does that compare to Gohan losing to someone who was arguably weaker than an enemy Gohan himself had beaten when he was much younger.

Also, saying Vegeta wasn't shit is a little silly. When he was first introduced, Vegeta was stronger than Goku even with Kaioken training. Vegeta is also the only reason Goku was alive to fight Freiza. Vegeta was the one that was able to distract Cell long enough for Gohan to win. Vegeta made some jackass moves throughout the series no doubt. But it is unlikely they would have beaten Cell or Buu without him.
