My Dad was a good man, husband and father. Although he's been gone for 15 years, there's lessons I've learned from him that I still draw on to this day. I was fortunate to have the parents I had...

Good: That mfer would cut off his arm if it meant putting food on the table.

Bad: He gon eat it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My pops the type of dude that would by you a hamburger and ask for some. then give you 1/8 of a burger back. When you complain he like, " Nigga I bought that! You dont want it. I will eat the rest!"

Tell me the good.

The bad.

And the worst thing he's ever done

The good: Helps me with my car. We got almost matchin Benz's.

[/img]

The bad: He might not know what he's doing with that car.

The worst: He junked my 93 Accord before I could get the CD player out

ha,ha. I made an old thread real similar to this too in the grown and sexy last year called: What kinda fathers are y'all or do you wanna be vs the kind of father you have?

My Dad is still with my Mom. They've been married for 45 years.

The good is: He was pretty damn rich, hasn't worked for anyone since he was 32 and has had his own telephone business for over 36 years (he's 68)real confident, musically talented, great businessman, well educated in black politics, religious, a little athletic, outspoken, never cheated on my mom as far as I know, got me a 1983 733ibmw when i was sophomore in college in 2002, never had to worry about a meal, never drank in front of us or even had alcohol in the house, never smoked, gave us a big house in a very well to do all black neighborhood, took me to marches throughout Atlanta and campaigns as a kid, allowed me to work for his company.

The bad: He doesn't really listen to what you have to say, he orders everyone around, he never relates with people who go through losses in life bc he's a winner, is ultra competitive, has a favorite child, beat me up only once in my life because he thought I said something slick under my breath (i got plenty of whippings I don't count as a beating, but a fist fight is a beating), he never really felt like a friend to me but more of just a parent who tells you what to do and asks you some questions so they can see how you think, wouldn't ever share his money with his sons (besides that car, I really liked that damn car) while we watched my sister get fur coats/diamond earrings, 3 new cars, brand new house all co-signed and paid for by he and my mother. Also paid my sister literally 3x the amount me and my brother were paid and we did more work. As you can see that fucked me up a little to see he and my mother have a favorite. I'm not saying he wouldn't buy me church clothes and give a good christmas. I'm just saying everyone I knew thought I was rich because my Dad had money, but they got x-box's, nintendo's, new shoes, went to concerts and I had to cut other people's lawns and save lunch money and gamble playing basketball to buy a Sega Genesis and this dude had helicopters picking him up to travel to different cities and a 3 storied 10 bedroom house.

Yo that's cool man what team he played for in France who is your pops if you don't mind sharing.

Biological father

Good: Dude was athletic, mad chilled usually quiet and mad talented know how to do a lot of artistic shit and picks up any tasks with ease

Bad: the Man was home only Tuesday and Wednesday sometimes Thursday, Friday Saturday Sunday and Mondays was soccer, drinking and Rollin days...

Worst: dude had the opportunity for the 1000000558384908th time to make things right and he bailed out on us it pisses me off now cause I have a daughter and I think about my older sister and shit she had to go through without her pops (shrugs I hope and yearn to do better for my wife and children and be strong enough not to judge the man that's not my position)

Stepfather

Good: My best friend, my role model outgoing we party and bullshit and party and bullshit lol nah that's my dude taught me many valuable lessons and still does, respects and treats my ol lady good and my older and little sister good as well took us in like his own children

Realest person I've met

Bad: the Man is mad he is mad sometimes but I know is because he always longed for a better life and to have a more comfortable life (he says that way he can enjoy it and leave something for us before he cashes out lol)

Worst: idk maybe we got into some dumb arguments not to long ago my nigga wanted to throw hands and all but fuck it I respect my pops and stood down and later I guess he was like fuck it that was stupid...

Um father none the god never even thought about it. Step father was a cop good let me stay with him after my mom left himmmm...bad alcholic...

The good: brought me everything I needed to keep me entertained just about watched alot of movies with him as an kid etc did most things right. He taught me alot about electronics he the reason I'm where I'm at today

The bad: wasn't involved in school spends alot of money on bullshit beer alcohol weed other stuff

After awhile came to realize we weren't that poor parents just budget money for there vices

So I didn't have the freshest clothes I couldn't ask for anything when we went out we lived a unnecessary broke life but at least he was a electronic head so we usually had the latest stuff

We don't have many real conversation unless I'm fucked up we don't spend time together he just in his room we don't do much of anything unless where in the house shit's is wack he always worked way to fucking much

Not his fault my mom's just simply won't get a job she just stays home and smokes

Never really prepared me for life as a man had to work it out dolo

Good : Always ready to offer helping hand to anyone.

Bad: Kindness is his weakness , always gets rinsed for cash by leeching relatives and some of his friends

The bad: my old man doesn't have a clue about modern technology. One day he comes home from a yard sale with a total s*** computer. a desktop from probably the late nineties. he tells me, "set me up an email account." so after I finally get him his own email account, he says "so I won't have to go to the mailbox anymore will I?"
