2007-08 Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Laker

2006-07 Dirk Nowitzki Dallas

2005-06 Steve Nash Phoenix

2004-05 Steve Nash Phoenix

2003-04 Kevin Garnett Minnesota

2002-03 Tim Duncan San Antonio

2001-02 Tim Duncan San Antonio

2000-01 Allen Iverson Philadelphia

1999-00 Shaquille O'Neal Los Angeles Lakers

1998-99 Karl Malone Utah

Yea yea...that's bullshit. the right & obvious thing >>>> outdated precedents.

2006 & 2007 - Kobe Bryant was the best player in basketball bar none. The Lakers were over .500. The Lakers made the Playoffs. Kobe took Smush Parker, Luke Walton & Devean George to the Playoffs in the Western Conference both years. Kobe was having 60 point games every other week. Kobe averaged 35 ppg in 06. Averaged 31 ppg in 07. Nash averaged 18ppg in 2006. Dirk averaged 24ppg. Lakers won 45 (.549) in 06 & 42 (.512)...they were above .500, 5-8 more games shouldn't have been the deciding factor in Kobe being the MVP. He's was bounds & leaps better than Dirk & Nash. He played in a tough conference with weaker teammates than Nash or Dirk.

2003 - Kobe should've won this year too. Averaged 30ppg all season. Had 9 consecutive games of 40 points or more. Averaged 40ppg in February 2003. Lakers won more than 50. Shaq missed games & averaged 27ppg. Tim who won the MVP averaged less 23ppg. Spurs finished 1st, Lakers finished 5th. TMac was also in consideration. It was bullshit. Kobe was better that year & had a good record.

Since the 1982–83 season, every player who has won the mvp award has played for a team with at least 50 regular-season wins (except for Karl Malone in the lockout-shortened 1998–99 season, in which the regular season was only 50 games long).

2005–06 NBA season. the lakers were 45-37.

2006-07 NBA season. the lakers were 42-40

kobe was still playing with shaq in 2002-03

again when did kobe get robbed?

02-03 lakers had no shaq for the 1st 12 games

Lakers record 3-9 kobe was Definitely mvp.Thats what mvp's do lose 9 out they 1st 12

lakers spent half that year chasin .500 and got better when kobe hogged and had that 40 point streak and when Shaq got in shape

97-98 Bulls no pippen 1st 35 games.Bulls record 25-10 #1 seed

Thats the difference between Facts and delusions and a real player who deserved Mvp

Simpleton kobe stans just dont get it

all facts..........

plus he avg. a whopping 7reb 7ast 2steals, per game, and look what happened everytime Jordan had a season like that...

HE WAS MVP!!

thats becuase 4 of jordan mvp's is when the bulls had the best record in the east and the other one when the bulls had the 3rd best record in the east.

in 02-03 the lakers had the 5th best record in the west.

If Nash can win MVP averaging 18 points a game & with Amare Stoudemire clearly being the best player on the Suns....averaging 10 points more.....I dont see how you make an argument for Kobe not being the MVP when he was the best player on that 2002-2003 Laker team.

You not basing your opinion on facts....you manipulating facts to push your opinion. Its a difference.

tim duncan: 23.3 points, a career-high 12.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.9 blocks and his team won 60 games why would tim not be the mvp?

I look at it like this. if we say Kobe is the reason that his team is better in the second half, and he is, then he is also the reason they were so poor in the beginning of the season. Kobe finally decided, uhh uhh, yall little niggas better step your game up right now and they did. As for Rose he has had the bulls on his back the whole season, through the injuries of Boozer(who's not fully recovered yet) and Noah and has excelled. Cant give Kobe the MVP based on half a season on a team who skill wise should have been doing this the whole season over someone who is just as important if not more important to his team. With all that said how does a top 10 player of all time have only one MVP and a player possibly crackin the top 100 have back to back of them bitches. What a damn shame.

Stop talking to me CJ if you gonna fall back on technicalities & precedents.

In 2006, Kobe was the best player with 45 wins. If he won 5 more times, he would've still been the same player. He got robbed plain & simple. He made the Playoffs & was over .500. Kobe got robbed in 2006 & 2007 the same way Jordan got robbed in 86 & 87. I dont give a fuck about Dirk & Nash having better records.....they also played with better teammates. Devean George, Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, Luke Walton & Kwame Brown would've been 11-71 without Kobe Bryant.

people forget that when nash won his 2nd mvp, amare only played 3 games that year

and the suns still end up with the 2nd best record in the west

Yea.....he also had Shawn Marion (22 ppg), Raja Bell (15ppg) & Boris Diaw (13ppg) & a DEEP ASS BENCH (Barbosa, Tim Thomas, Eddie House). All niggas I would've easily traded that 2005-06 Laker team for.

Been sayin this.....ppl who discredit certain players hate to consider certain factors that actually make sense...all the players you bolded are what Kobe haters are saying Kobe shoulda made better....but they cant ever explain why their careers ended up the way they did after they left LA...go figure

Whatever nigga....

SMH @ point guard averaging 18 points per game...and not the best player on his team getting the MVP when there's a player averaging 35 points per game & scoring 81 points that same season.

Derrick Rose is playing better than Steve Nash did that year & we still not sold on Rose being MVP. FOH with that shit.
