Throw Howard in there and I completely agree. Without Howard, the Magic would be fighting for a playoff spot.

Since the 1982–83 season, every player who has won the mvp award has played for a team with at least 50 regular-season wins (except for Karl Malone in the lockout-shortened 1998–99 season, in which the regular season was only 50 games long).

2004–05 NBA season. the lakers were 34-48.

2005–06 NBA season. the lakers were 45-37.

2006-07 NBA season. the lakers were 42-40

again kobe never got robbed

If the spurs dont lose 6 straight kobe aint in the discussion

Cant say the same for rose he earned it all year

If the Celtics don't make that trade for Green and go into a nose dive D Rose wouldn't be as hyped up for the award as he is now. Cuts both ways

facts stats and impact, say otherwise, especially in 2002-'03 when he was bringing it each game/scoring, rebs., ast., killer-defense

the spurs had the best record that year.

thats why duncan won it

plus kobe was still playing with shaq

Shaq barely played that whole year duncan averaged 23 and 12. Kobe averaged 30 7 and 7 on top of 2 steals. Lakers had the best record in their division with 50 some odd wins. Flip that around to this year. Lakers will have the best record in the league. Kobe is puttin up 25 5 and 5. D Rose's team will have 50 some odd wins with the same if not lower averages than Kobe. It's a legitamate argument.

shaq played 67 games that year.

like i said, the spurs had the best record in the west. while the lakers had the 5th best record in the west.
