OK fine.

D. Howard is the most VALUABLE player to his team :unno.

It's clear that people are just mesmerized by the young kid with the exciting moves and the speed of the dribble, plus the fact that he's the spark that the Bulls have been missing to put asses in the seats since Jordan.

People like to OOO and AHHHH and the MVP award has become the "who can make me say wow the most on a playoff team."

If people were to vote minus emotion (which they obviously dont) Kobe would have two MVP awards, Nash would have one less and the media would not be crowning D. Rose league MVP as if D. Howard, Lebron and Kobe are just out there throwing up stinkers every game night.

MEH...I'm done. If he gets it good. But Im just mad people acting like its obvious he deserves it. Cuz its really not. Its just a popularity contest these days.

kobe should have one mvp and thats it.

d rose is the most VALUABLE player to his team

1. Value is determined by individual and team achievements. There's 7 teams in the league with better records than the Magic.

2. Emotion may have played a factor for some people not voting for Kobe. But him being on a team that cant even win 50 games and barely makes the playoffs puts him in a position to leave it to the writers to decide. We havent seen an MVP on a team that couldnt win 50 games since Moses in '82. Yet, all of a sudden it's media bias towards Rose and against Kobe?

07-08 Paul led the league in steals and assists and scored 21per game and had 4 rebounds a game. and the team finished 1 game back of LA

Since the 1982–83 season, every player who has won the mvp award has played for a team with at least 50 regular-season wins (except for Karl Malone in the lockout-shortened 1998–99 season, in which the regular season was only 50 games long).

2004–05 NBA season. the lakers were 34-48.

2005–06 NBA season. the lakers were 45-37.

2006-07 NBA season. the lakers were 42-40

It's funny how many people say Nash didnt deserve tho MVPs, yet Paul's numbers were clearly superior that year. And unlike the Suns and Lakers who met in the 1st round because of the Lakers getting in by the skin of their teeth, the Hornets finished as the #2 seed with one less win than L.A.

should Chris Paul have won the MVP a few years ago? his numbers are very similar to Rose's and the Hornets nearly won the west that year

yes he should have

the MVP is for the whole regular season from game 1 to game 82.

the MVP isn't for after the all-star break

You say that as if Kobe has been playing shitty all year...

If Kobe's team ends with a better or even record and Kobe has slightly better stats, how the fuck can't he be MVP?

Kobe and rose have VERY similar stats... Kobe has a lil more rebounds, better FG%, less assists but Rose has more turnovers...

And Kobe is doing it in 3.5 LESS minutes per game...

I repeat, how the fuck can't he be MVP? His stats are better than Rose overall. If he played equal minutes as Rose he'd probably be averaging 28 or 29 a game.

thats because it looked like the lakers record was going to be shitty... But since now it isn't, it's open for discussion...

Who cares really, the whole MVP shit is a joke anyway. I personally don't see why your team record should have too much to do with MVP...

If someone averages 45, 15 and 10... Yet they just play for an atrocious team and horrible coach and end with a 40-42 record, they can't be MVP? Bogus.
