Yes Donovan had a great Defense cause Jim Johnson is Legend but to act like he was just "Managing" for 11 years is a joke. Donovan has one of the best TD-INT ratio's in NFL HISTORY. As someone mentioned he became the 1st QB EVER to throw for 30 TD's and less than 10 INT's, after Mcnabb, Brady and Farve has been the only ones to do it. Looks like Arron Rodgers may do it this year but the fact is Donovan did it 1st. He still hold's the record for most consecutive pass completed. If you look at his overall stats, he's top 25 or less in NFL HISTORY in passing yards, attempts, Completions, TD's, rushing yards for a QB and Rushing TD's. There have been over 1,000 starting QB's to play this game, yet look at where Donovan is at, how was he not great?
Again to say he was just a manager is riduclious. Considering the lack of weapons he had on Offense, his numbers are even more remarkable. Westbrook didn't come into the picture until Mcnabb's 4th Year, T.O. didn't come till his 6th so outside of Brady, Mcnabb did the most with less. Where was that great Defense in the Super Bowl? Where were that great Defense in the NFC Title games? The fact is Donovan got the blame in the losses but look at all the wins he's gotten, that's not a fluke. You do not win 107 NFL Games and be an average player? As for someone mentinoed Drew Bledsoe, well he has more losses than wins so Donovan is definitely better than him. Also just because he didn't win the title doesn't mean he was a post-season dud. How many QB's ever won 9 playoff games? On yea, only 10. No matter how you slice it, Donovan numbers put him in an elite class in NFL history.
