I feel Clips really wants to be King if Harlem since Mook beat Lux. He hinted that in the Ored battle.

I don't see Clips beating Rex or Mook

I like Clips and feels he's one of the greats,but his only weakness is lack of changing styles

While changing styles isn't as important in battling Rex is a guy who can style shit out

This battle will come down to who has the most ammo

I expect Rex to perform like Mike Jackson in this battle,he knows what he's up against and kinda knows how he'll say shit.

Clips vs T Rex

Clips 3-0. I don't think anyone is really surprised. Rex was always one of those guys who was just aight with bars, but his cheerleaders always made it seem like he was saying some extra dope shit. I thought he had something in that 3rd round, but Clips rebutted the fuck out of his angle.

What's worse, Clips vs. Rex or Mook vs. Lux?

I think Mook ate Lux worse, only because you didn't even want to hear what Lux was saying. Mook just took the stage from the beginning and it was over. And he did it with limited bars lol.

This is some of the most ridiculous shit I've read in here.

Battle rap today is about delivery, stage performance, rebuttals, angles and bars. After Lux finished spitting his spoken word mumble mouth shit, Mook took control of the stage and called Lux out on his hypocrisy with a strong delivery. After the first round, Lux was on cruise control and didn't rebut anything Mook said, therefore no one gave a fuck what Lux was talking about. He was food already.

In comparison, Clips didn't take over the stage in that manner, he just out-barred Rex and rebutted his shit on some normal battle rap shit. Mook broke Lux down chemically (some of which he borrowed from Hollow).

Did Mook not 3-0 Lux? Did Mook not get all of this new found fame and spotlight because of his dominance in that performance? Let's see what Clips gets with his win over Rex. Let's see if his stock rises or if anyone outside of battle rap even knows who the fuck who is after this shit.

Not to mention, was Lux not considered the best battle rapper by a vast majority at the time or even all-time?, in comparison to Rex being washed up or just a solid battle rapper who's known for spitting old shit. Mook slaughtered one of if not, the best battle rapper at the time or even all-time, while Clips dominated a solid opponent in Rex who didn't even show up.

... I'm not these other posters who follow the leader. Everything I post, I can back up. I don't just circle jerk like a lot of you clowns. Niggas be in here 5 pages deep saying the same thing in different ways like the 20 people before them ain't post the same exact opinion.. 'scust.

Maybe he will. He's supposedly battling only four times next year. When he battles Hollow Da Don I expect him to be on point.

I will say this though. Clips at this level can definitely be beat. He telegraphs his punchlines a lot. It's too simple and you can predict it before it comes. I view that as a negative if someone does it too much. Ppl who can rap better know how to mix up the structure of their bars better (different patterns and speeds and different flows).

T rex 1st round was on point but not strong enough.

His 2nd was hardly directed at Charlie and it was less than 2minutes..

Trex 3rd relied on personals but lacked bars. You can't expect to win the crowd over just by telling a story...If you going that route you gotta paint a picture and that's what Charlie was able to convey to the crowd.

Clips has the ability to take you on journey wether hes talking about his grandmother or pops,he holds your attention to the point where he's like okay "now let the show begin" "lets get to these bars"..Clips is that roller coaster going up hill and when he drops those bars you start to lose your mind...

Charlie is the full package bars,schemes,storytelling,creativity,delivery. When he's on his sh** he's a problem,you can tell when his heart is in it. That's why I'm never quick to write him off in battles like immaculate or heartless cause I know what he's capable of.

Some people are biased towards Clips cause he use to say I'm undefeated. And in all fairness he has a few loses but not many. Either way he definitely solidified his #1spot and showed hes a force to be reckoned with.

At times he makes you wonder how does he come up with some of those lines. That Jenga line was crazy....I got a lil discouraged listening to him,he makes my bars against goldie and dub sound extra light...I wanna trash the whole thing...

That 3rd was a historical moment if only Smack let clips finish..he should of held that towel like stallone in Rocky IV.

For the record though (@clairvoyance) the reason why URL wants to do the exclusive contracts is that they don't want to find talent and give them some of their best looks on the URL stage... only for them to start money grabbing from every league that pops up with an offer and lowering the demand for themselves as they start putting more mediocre and bad battles on tape.

Most of the dudes out now who are considered "top tier" didn't even start on URL though. They want to have an exclusive go-to talent pool going forward though.

I got a lil better understanding of the url contracts. Beasley only spoke on it metaphorically and didn't really want to get into the Ill Will situation. But he was right about top tier rappers lack of performance not being URL's fault..The way he was impersonating fans was funny.

Looking forward to seeing Official on Kotd,just wish she had a better opponent than Bonnie...40Barrs would of been a better matchup for her.
