1) Honestly, the fact that the fans there were NOT fans of the culture and the horrible sound quality ruined Lux chances... Mook wasnt saying shit..hes just very slow nigga and bitch friendly (cool gun bars always win them type over).

Exactly... I wasnt impressed with Mook either. Lux just drowned in that crowd's lack of positive reaction.

I was expecting for hollow to kill Joe buttons fresh from the gate. But sadly, Joe just had a higher consistency of bars.

what fucked him up is not knowing that in battle rap, you have to control the crowd. Sometimes, you have to gain the crowd back. Rather than being a total diva and dropping the mic.

What's even sadder, is when Joe pick the mic backup he still had a few more hot Rhymes. HalloW just didn't have enough. Its still a 3-0 for Joe.

I guess thats the beauty of battle rap, erebody has their own opinion. Im glad Joe is gettin some love, I still feel he got 3-0'd tho..

And yall my niggas, but how df are some of yall niggas sayin Mook wasnt sayin shit? That nigga damn near had a perfect performance, I wish they let him finish his 3rd, Im sure he'll drop the bars in a blog tho...

Any who, Official vs Couture

I was there and had to re watch the shit how anyone say Hollow got the First round when the only the 112/Jodecie line and rest of yelling, corny movements and filler bars going at Rosenberg and Iovine is beyond me.

The lines against Rosenberg and Ivone were not filler nor irrelevant. That was the whole point. He was attacking the machine, they the puppetmasters at the top and Budden the puppet. It's a bigger insult when you don't even respect the man standing across you as his own individual but as a pawn where you're forced to address his controllers. That was the angle. If you didn't like it, that's cool, but I was with him 100%

Joe kept it simple but factual

10:26 – “‘Cause we had an exchange on Twitter, I was disturbed some / You asked me where’s my last hit, nigga where’s your first one?” - Budden

Except Hollow said on the radio he doesn't even try to make songs, although he might once he hangs it up. He's a battle rap head. He ain't using the shit to segue into music at the moment like the old heads did. It was an OK line, but nothing special and very predictable. Hardly hurt.

10:24 – “To my lost fans, can’t figure what my aim is / Here I go again making another bitch famous” – Budden

10:22- "We could put up whatever he want wager, honestly for me it’s nothin’ major, this ain’t even a battle, it’s like a favor”

10:22 - “But I’m the underdog, in fact / well 200 grand for ten minutes of work? I don’t really see a loss in that”

More obvious lines about how he's more famous than Hollow. No double entendre. No punchlines. No bars. Just obvious lines. I wasn't impressed, even if the Budden fans in the crowd was.

Those punches anything harder than Hollow Spit that first round.

These weren't even punches. Shit was light imo.

That 112/Jodeci line was harder than anything Budden spit the whole battle.

Plus, I just liked Hollow's angle in the first two rounds way better than Budden's approach.

How about niggaz just stop booking daylyt, nigga been a clown and always will be one..

I could care less if he got bars, its been proven time and time again he will fuck

ya shit up whenever he feel like it.............

which to me personally aint cool I hope smack and beasely never book that nigga on url

and mook exposed lux style..........

Once again lux gotta be able to switch it up, niggas gotta have an idea, the type

Of crowd they performing too......

His preaching style was good for round 1, but as soon as he did it again and his

punches wasnt getting no crowd reaction, it just sounded like he was rambling

and eventually he got booed.........

and the crazy thing about lux style is that if the crowd reacts to a punch, than

he gotta pause and it kinda slows down is rapid fire flow and thw impact from

the haymaking bars he be spitting

He failed terribly with that angle. He became apart of the mainstream machine the minute he started pushing for the battle with Budden, and once it was accepted, promoting the shit talking about how doing Total Slaughter is great for Battle Rap and the culture. If you actually listen to Hollow Verse that round and break it down.. the pawns are the Battle Rappers getting shitted and getting scraps from the table in terms of money not Joe Budden.

Yet Hollow once again brought up Pump It Up during the battle...weak.

Factual lines will hit harder than corny jokes that were obvious etc putting on the Super Man Cape for Tahiry, mentioning Raekwon and Ransom.

That line was good but just another overrated played out gun verse that battle rap fans get hyped over. I still have Hollow winning 2-1 the 2nd and 3rd rounds his first was weak as fuck.

Man I hate these bitches females in queen of the ring, who talk the whole battle like its an argument. Couture talking the whole fuckin battle, while Official is SPITTIN and doing freestyle rebuttals. Ill say it again, Official is on a different level, with Mshustle, Msfit, Gattas(when she's not chokin) and QB.

Me personally I feel battle rap would be better with no audience. All this oohing and booing be fucking it up, I cant even watch a battle sometimes cause rapper gotta pause all the damn time

it's almost like i wa tched a completely different battle, hollow had a few dope lines but budden cooked that boy round 1 and 2.

I liked the angle. He acknowledged both in the verse and on the radio that he was slaving for this, but that's separate from being a yes-man like Budden is. At this point he's using it as a platform to increase his profile, no doubt, but he's criticizing Shady and Buddens for exploiting the culture and not giving the battle rappers their due. At the end of the day, he moves freely because he can go back to doing what he does. Battling independently. He can survive without the money and fame because that's not what he's been about in the first place. Budden still answers to his masters at the label.

Neither of them lines impressed me, either from Budden or Hollow.

I already said Hollow was terrible in the third. No relevance. He won the first two though and Budden basically forfeited the third in my eyes. And those lines are "facts," but boring, obvious facts. They don't hit harder than real bars IMO. But to each his own.

Interesting. I thought his third was weakest (and I think a lot of your criticisms about corniness better apply to his third). Anyways, we ain't really disagreeing that much since we both got him winning something like 2-1.

I miss the old Grind Time and early Smack days where niggas was silent the whole battle. Sometimes they'd lose their cool and start cheering when a line was crazy hot, but you rarely, if ever, saw a nigga get booed, even if they were trash. Niggas would just start walking out of the store before they booed.

Hollow only had 1 punchline that was dope at aim Joe that first round. Yall take this industry vs underground thing seriously.. He gets no points spending most of that round dissing Rosenberg/Iovine when Joe is the opponent.

Them rounds were all about how Joe is a Shady Records pawn my nigga, a commercial failure being forced out by the machine. And it got proved when Joe tried to walk off stage like he dgaf and his mans made him finish his bars.

I was there and had to re watch the shit how anyone say Hollow got the First round when the only the 112/Jodecie line and rest of yelling, corny movements and filler bars going at Rosenberg and Iovine is beyond me.

Nah Hollow was attacking Joe's bosses off the rip

If Hollow was battling Charlie Clipse,he would talk shit about DNA,but in Joe's case, his affiliations are the ppl and the industry BS he spoke on.

He broke down the state of the industry and how it pertains to Joe

Hollow had solid good punches, not great, but good and landed on rhythm w/ energy

Joe had a good 1st round but his delivery and lack of haymakers that landed correctly makes me say Hollow won all rounds

Joe did great, but he took no round.

Its weak when 1. He an independent solo artist and been one for years. 2. Joe is not signed to Shady Records as a solo artist. 3. Neither as a solo artist or as part Slaughterhouse is he managed by Paul Rosenberg. Soo who his "bosses"?

That shit did not impress me.
