I think he cut that out a while ago...seems like at some point he came to understand that even the handful of battles that he carried that over to was too much.

I think for whatever reason, surf did have more support that night than hollow. Peeps were saying he's gonna kill hollow b4 the battle like surf ever really beat anyone clearly b4 that. Maybe it was cause surf was more in the public eye of b.rap fans and hollow was more in prison.

As for the complexion issue. I don't deny what verb sez to have some truth to it, I wouldn't go as far as saying that had any factor on the battle though.

Darker niggaz r seen as more 'street' in rap music and society in general-whether it's true or not is another matter.

I've never really considered verb a lite skint nigga till this complaining though.

I don't know why he's saying "battle rap is dead" and then trying to list colorism as a reason. It makes no sense.

And Maybe I'm in the minority when it comes to trying to prove you're "street" or tough by talking about guns and illegal activity. Why does that shit matter so much to people? Why is he so hung up on people's perception of who is and isn't a "street n****?" Even if he's right about ppls colorized perception, what does that prove?
