I saw a thread about seven sins, a discussion ensued about the order in which the sins may have entered the world and these self proclaimed non-believers are using the Genesis account of the Bible to form their stances.

WAIT A MINUTE.......I thought you didn't believe the Bible, make up your unstable, bi-polar azz minds.

IT'S PAINFULLY OBVIOUS THAT WHETHER YOU CLAIM TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE OR NOT IT HAS A HOLD ON YOU.......EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU

PEACE

I hope that wasn't directed towards my posts.

Yes, this story is true indeed. I have had that same efficiency, here, in exposing how those who claim to be atheist...really aren't atheist at all. I especially expose them with my believing how '2+2' may ≠ 4 philosophy...just ask major stain

No matter what anyone says it you take two apples put them in a bag and add two more apples you will have four apples.. Math is solid and universal, forget all that bullshit philosophical it could equal 74 bullshit

Yes it is...it takes more faith to be an atheist.

It takes more faith to believe that a character in a book doesn't exist than it does to believe in talking snakes, talking bushes, demons, unicorns, virgin births etc...? come on nigga get real

I disagree. We're born atheists. It's the lack of faith in any belief that makes an atheist. An atheist is able to say "I don't know, let's figure it out." A Theist says, "I don't know, it must be god, case closed." An atheist most likely figured out why the sky is blue, a theist would just pass it off as God made it that way, and left it at that.

No... It takes ZERO faith to be atheist. Who taught you the definition of faith?

No, atheism is not a religion, although there are religions that accommodate atheists. The definition of religion you supply needs a great deal clarified. Atheism does not involve devotional and ritual observances, and of itself contains no moral code.

Morality is doing what is right, no matter what you are told.

Religion is doing what you are told, no matter what is right.

Atheism is defined simply by a lack of faith. We don't believe in god because there's no evidence. For the same reason, we don't believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, fairies, vampires, goblins, ghosts, etc. We have chosen to live our lives accepting rational things and rejecting irrational ones, and that policy inevitably leads to a rejection of religion, also known as atheism.

Oh my bad, I didn't know I had to profess every word in the book to able to discuss it.

As said before, we are all bound by our convictions. The bible being THEE WORD of god, is not a conviction of mine nor is the notion it is 100% truth, therefore I am not bound to use it in a manner described/prescribed by the church.

How do you feel about evolution?

I don't "feel" anything about evolution.

Are you asking me do I accept it as fact?

Before I even get into this. What do you know about evolution beside the whole "monkeys" thing?

This is where you're wrong, atheist don't believe the world came from nothing.....

Let's say that it did though, you believe in a magical being who would also had to have came from nothing.

Not according to the Supreme Court case of Torcaso v. Watkins where they defined "secular humanism" as a religion..and term atheism and secular humanism are interchangeable.
...considering wanting to have a religion-like legal status despite the separation of church and state...

Secularism in government and in the schools constitutes state favoritism towards a particular religion (namely, the denial of theism), and a double standard is used in granting protections to those in denial of theism...
