Charlamagne sounds like he's speaking for the Yeezy fans that just want him to rap again lol

Word. I like Ye as an artist/producer too, but damn nigguhs act like you can't be talented/successful beyond what you are "known for". They'll gladly pay for some over priced garments peddled to them by "someone else", but let a black man want to do the same thing. I personally could never see myself spending outlandish $ on that type of shit, but who am I to knock Ye for wanting to be on a level playing field as the majors? The crazy thing about these arguments is that nobody can force you to buy anything, yet people get mad about someone selling expensive shit to a demographic who obviously has no problem wasting their money on it.

Its not hating on him for wanting to do more. Hell it's almost expected for a rapper to have a business sense too now. Thing with Ye is he was told no like everyone is at some point and he's having a real live fit in front of the whole world

Why do people have an issue with Kanye talking about the real issues he's dealing with in things outside of rap? He's giving you insight into his motivation to make the statements he has on the actual...RAP SONGS...(ie New Slaves) that he released.

I don't know how Kanye expect's these fashion giants to let him in, after bad mouthing them publicly. Jay-z wouldn't do this. If anything this kinda contradicts his excuse for picking Jay over Dame.

He said he was trying to change.....dang.

Interesting how ppl have such selective hearing. He even acknowledges that he's flawed all the time (who isn't?).

charlamagne was right on with the ? why u equate money with freedom my brother? ye couldnt answer it. ye came off as a brat who is throwing hissy fits cuz white folk wont let him have his way. dont yall compare what he talking bout to PAC.

Niggas comparing Kanye to Floyd fucking Mayweather now?

Take a seat.

Its a pretty direct comparison. Dudes with resumes full enough to retire on, who have a great amount of 'followers' who follow on some car wreck shyt. Some people tune in just to see if he lose (Floyd) or to see if he completely loses his mind (Kanye)

So actually, its a great fukin comparison.

New age revolutionaries can't do things without money. I.e. jay-z puff oprah.

Ye is tryna to break a mould in america that blk ppl can own things that last over a hundred yrs like whites and jews.

But if ye is trying to make a higher quality h&m he is going to need those corporations for distribution

And Charlemagne arguments were trying to box ye in as just a musician and he wants to be more.

They kept trying to say "why don't u do it yourself?"... that won't break molds bc all he'll be doing is just immulating and not creating a new lane for blacks

Ye spitting some deeper tham rap shit but the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum.

My god dis nigga crazy tho, like saturday morning cartoon villian crazy

Another smart/dumb nigga trying be insightful, but I digress.

Kanye is mostly bitching about why he is not a billionaire and why he is not accepted in high-end fashion. There's no discussion or debate regarding saving lives, ending poverty, or uplifting his people spiritually. And you fell for it.

yo the things he was saying were some real shit in the grand scheme of things. the problem is (AND HAS BEEN FOR A WHILE) that the things he has been doing fly in the face of everything he said.

furthermore instead of talking about money he should have used the word "control". i give him props for acknowledging our plight as new slaves but venting about approval from these corporations wont break the chains, they're just gonna move you closer to massa's house and that's all Charlemagne was getting at.

Charlamagne is fucking stupid. I understood everything Kanye is saying, financial empowerment is everything. Charlamagne is the type of nigga who is happy with bread crumbs, Kanye is saying why can't we own the bakery as black people. That's black peoples problem as a whole in this country, we're consumers and not owners. We make up 10% of America and are the biggest consumers. smh

He doesn't want to own the brand of the bakery he wants to franchise it.

He's got bread or access to bread plus the publicity. Make your own designs. Stop screaming where my damn croissant and go in the kitchen ughk!

I'm not surprised @usmarin3 is trying to justify this bullshit *rolls eyes*. Take Ye's dick out of your mouth nigga.... CthaGod not against financial empowerment, he's saying you don't need money to have power - hence the MLK comment. The way they brought that shit up was irrelevant anyways, and so was the Adam & Eve remark. Kanye sayin that shit cuz he's venting his frustration as to why he's not succeeding in fashion otherwise why go at Bernard Arnault of LVMH ? Wtf does Jordan being a third round pick have to do with shit ? Ok there is only 7 black billionaires yeah and ? It's irrelevant, they asked him what he wanna be in 10 years and the nigga couldn't even properly answer for himself, half the questions he danced around, others he flew off on a tangent, and the whole interview didn't do shit but show how insecure and arrogant Kanye West is. Kanye is wrong about how he's going about satisfying his interests.

Negro this ain't the 50s and 60s. The civil rights and grassroot shit is fucking dead. The country has shifted from a democratic society to a capitalist one. Money is fucking power. This country is ran by lobbyists people not the democratic people.
